HORRIBLE! Avoid at all costs. Couldn't feel more strongly on this one. You might get lucky and they might be able to book the dates you want or they might string you along for months not responding and you sitting there wondering what to do, did you get your requested dates or not? Then finding out you didn't and having to book at a much higher rate since you had to wait until last minute. Horrible company.

    We did with good success

We have used SkyAuction a couple of times now and had no problems. They can be a little slow to send out confirmations and we always call no matter who we use just to confirm and feel better ourselves.

We booked the 2 of us to Las Cabos "all in" for $800 from Toronto for a week at TTR before they changed to Desire 11/11/11 with no issues.

We booked the 2 of us to DR "all in" for $725 from Toronto for a week at RIU Mambo and had a great time in November 2013.

You must read the fine print when purchasing or things like dates and times and what is and isn't included.

Other than that some deals can be found.

So my situation was I read all of the fine print when purchasing, calculated all of the fees, etc and it was a good deal for me. The dates I wanted were not blackout dates. But of course the fine print is that your dates may not be available and you will have to book other dates if they are not. Which would be fine if they told you within a reasonable amount of time if you got your dates or not.

So I won the auction in sept/oct if I recall correctly. Submitted my dates for Feb the next year. November still no confirmation so I contact customer support. They say they are working with their booking vendors to confirm the date. December nothing. More pushing for a response with just form letters back. Eventually I have to book a flight. You can't book flights last minute as you know so I am stuck. I had to book the flight and hope my dates are ok. January the same issue, no confirmation and no rejection. Full panic mode as I watch the prices rising on all the sites. Then the very end of January, 2-3 weeks before the trip they say sorry we can't confirm your dates, you will have to pick other dates. Horrible. So I then had to pay the price available at 2 weeks out which obviously was much more expensive than what I was told I would get via sky auction or could of gotten from other sites months earlier. Why risk it? And salt in the wounds was they said that the hotel was completely sold out as the reason they couldn't confirm. Of course I was able to find rooms on every site at that inflated rate.
