We personally have not been moved from TTR to another resort, but a couple of years ago met some that were sent to Sea Adventure Resort for a night. They got upgraded to a jucuzzi room no charge, and free wifi. Their flights arrived in the evening, not sure if arrival time makes a difference, or who you book through. That was in March, a peak time with spring breakers coming to Cancun. Haven't heard of it happening to others before or after March.
I'm glad to see so many Doctors, Nurses, Fire Fighters and EMT's are going to be there during our stay... If any of you Medical types see my drunk ass horizontal and face down in the sand...I may be in need of assistance!
Last year we got a note in our door to move to desire if we wanted, we had 3 other people with us so we did not go. If it happens this year, its an option though.

On our first trip in 2011, we got a note under our door asking if we wanted to move to Desire for a night (we didn't go). Last year there wasn't much to pick from for rooms by the time we got to the resort at about 6pm. We get in even later this year (8th as well), so I hope there is something left for us!
