I was sitting on the beach today reading a book. I have read two books since I got here. That is two more than my last three trips to TTR. Anyways as I was saying, I was reading a book when I heard the thump thumping of a heavy bass sound coming from the ocean. I looked up and see a catamaran adorned with a blue and orange banner and what appears to be several small flags on its flag pole. There are several nearly naked people on board dancing about and generally looking like they are having a good time. I then realize those aren,t little flags but women's bikini tops. It's the Boobs Cruise!!! Like a siren calling me I don my Boobs Cruise t-shirt and wade into the ocean. Teasing me the boat slows down by us and comes as close to the markers as they can. And then I see them. Boobs! Big boobs, little boobs, bouncing boobs. After a week here I am like a starving man staring at a buffet. So close but still so far. I wave, they wave back. I see Steve and I see Janet. I get a thumbs up from Steve. I contemplate leaving my bride of 33 years on the beach and swimming out. But of course you don't stay married 33 years by being stupid. Ok, maybe a bit but I may be out of get out of jail free cards by now. Sadly I realize that the Boobs Cruise and it's party is going to go on without me so I salute them as any fine veteran of boobs cruises would. I mooned them. See you in April Steve.
I am curious about the classic rock band? Were they any good? And what was the name of the band? Thanks
Sorry, I don't know their name. They were a local band I figure. They played The Stones, Queen, Toto, ACDC, CCR. All kinds of old good stuff. They really got the crowd going. they have played here twice.
Thanks. . . Your reference of Queen and Toto answered my question. The band you seen would be Sombra. ( Toto is the clue. They would need a keyboard player. And not many bands have a keyboard plYer in Cancun.) How long/ late did they play?
Yup. That's the band. They played two thirty minute sets ending about 1130. Then the DJ managed to drive everyone out by about 12.
