Well, we spent 10 days at TTR before that and the weather was the same and the pool, as always, was packed every day.... I'm just saying. The pool set up at GOV has to be changed drastically. And they definately need more than 12 lounge chairs by the pool. We found the resort is kind of split up so much that it really will be hard for large groups to be in one place other than the beach area. It is set up more for the beach area to be the main area. But the beach is absolutely beautiful and has lots of chairs and lots of space.
It's ok for us. We are creatures of habit. Will be in same place during the day in and at swim up bar. At nite will be in same spot at night club. Just the way we roll. Lol We will make our own party with people. Never had a problem before If it sucks. Guess what. Just won't go back.
Well we have about 15 couples from CCC going at the beginning of April, so we will just have to create our own group and really piss off anyone who doesnt want to see boobies....:flash:
Just to be clear, I am not trying to discourage people from going there. Just giving our opinion on our experience for those who are going or planning on booking. People like us and the people we travel with that love the TTR craziness (and late nights) will most likely be bored there right now. I am looking forward to following the posts to see how things change and seeing other people's opinions on their trip.
Well I like to think I am a patient man but I guess I thought wrong. This doesn't sound fun based on what we consider a fun vacation. We hoped for something close to the TTR party, knowing it wouldn't be equal, but with the advantages of a nice beach, room, food. With all the issues listed and the increasing possibility that the party won't be close to TTR we are going to have to cancel our may booking. It has been a full month since the switch and I know they deserve more time but we can't risk getting shut out of alternative plans. Going to book a TTR / pearl combo or all pearl for May. I hope others that stick with it have a great vacation and can overcome the shortcomings!

We didn't see anyone partying at all!! One evening we were getting ready to go out to eat and heard some noise by the pool and said "wow, is someone actually having fun", and looked outside and there were 6 people laughing. That lasted about 10 minutes. And the lines really did suck. It got very annoying very fast. There is one waitress at the beach named Laura that will bring you drinks pretty consistently and quickly if you tip her.
