TTR's two tequila's offered are Cuervo Gold (gross) and El Jimador repasado, which is a really decent and smooth %100 de agave
We look for a bottle called three generations they have 3 different kinds all are good smooth found it last time across the street last time or at duty free In airport yummy
We both find tequila repulsive. should we really be going to mexico lol  Bring on the vodka though (Do they serve Smirnoff) ?. See you in may folks :flaguk: Leeroy and Sarah x
Before you write off tequila - make sure you've tried the good stuff. If you've only had the cheap stuff (which is what most bars/restaurants give you at home, unless you specifically ask for the higher end stuff), there's no comparison. Its like comparing champagne to gasoline. The good stuff doesn't have the "burning", and if you drink the stuff that's 100% agave, you won't get a hangover - doesn't get much better than that!
I really want to like tequila and I've tried a variety of them but due to an unfortunate tequila related incident in my 20's it just doesn't agree with me. Even when it's in mixed drinks or sugary shots it makes me shudder
LOL - I have a similar aversion to Southern Comfort or any type of Schnapps - can't look at either one without having nightmarish flashbacks to painful hangovers in my teenage years On the other hand - I find good Tequila is like mother's milk to my system. Just put a nipple on top of the tequila bottle and I'm good for the day
I am like that with rum. I can, and have, gotten falling down drunk on rum on more than one occasion but I can always go back to it immediately. Drinking an entire bottle of Jose Cuervo Gold during a poker party on a camping trip one year has destroyed any enjoyment for me I have a similar aversion to Canadian Club and rye in general due to a high school party were we decided to drink it straight from the bottle once the mix ran out.... shudder. You'd think we'd learn lol
When it comes to drinking (and the results), my life's motto is "It seemed like a good idea at the time!"
Practice, Practice, Practice ... I use to be the same.. just the word tequila and I would shudder.. but I worked at it and have learned to appreciate it.. and after 2 or 3 shots.. the shiver stops, the saliva glands stop working, tummy calms down....LOL However sometimes clothes go missing.. where or how I have no idea LOL  you guys will be there same time as us... I promise I'll help you get over this terrible condition...LOL
Us too, but we have only ever had it as free shots in crappy bars, so we may have to give the good stuff a try .
