The mixed reviews might be a good thing. Maybe those going to relax we're annoyed by a party. OK, we can hope. Hopefully, this thread will continue with questions and a few answers. Reading between the lines the management appears to poorly organized. I think some of us are frustrated at the lack of progress. But let's be nice to the source, the messenger.

On a lighter note, can you imagine booking a laid back resort and on day one Sarah 69 comes out..... Watching some faces would be fun. Maybe we need to hire Steve or an associate to make daily visits to give us updateds on the vibe...

I'd have to say the Management to me seem very well organised. They are all dynamic late twenties / early thirties, all newly hired over the last 8 months or so because of outstanding talent in their field. They all have commitment to make the concept work. You can see Valentina's commitment by her engagement with people on here, via email and PM's and on a personal level at the hotel itself with people asking for tours almost daily.

The Oasis group of hotels has 10 hotels in the area, it has corprorate wide policies, company visions, missions and all those other 'cumbersome things' that come with any company of it's size.

GOV is just one hotel in the group and implementing change is not always easy or straightforward, particularly if it is on a unilateral basis. You cant just say 'ok we'll open the bar until 3am from tomorrow'. It isnt Jose's tequila shack. Changes need approval, feasibility studies, cost/benefit analysis, staff need to be on board and the whole thing needs to fit with the overall company objectives and policies.

If there is any resistance to changes it's likely from the very top or perhaps from some of the staff, some of whom have worked there for 20 years. The GOV Management are doing all they can, of that I am sure.

I think you will find on this board that most people are happy that someone is listening to what they want, even if they can't necessarily provide the end result they Desire. I still maintain some of the most fun nights I had at Temptation were when they closed the bars down at 1. It forced you to plan with other people to either go out to a club or make a beer run to keep the party going for example.

Is there a fee for the room safe??? if so how much.not having one discourages people from bringing cash to tip the employees there, and my husband is a generous tipper; no safe and most people like that will not bring a lot of money....

Having been to los cabos TTR 4 times and loved it this place seems to have the potential to fill the loss for us as cancun TTR just falls short for us. One concern is the lack of heat in the pool is this something that GOV is thinking of adding ?
