That was a great Read, Kyle has always had great trip reports... Ive always enjoyed the Premier for the room location , I love being ground floor by the sexy pool. The 2hr presentation was never a big deal, ya get to learn whats new with the resort, what their plans are, have a few drinks and hey Ya never know, they may just have a package you like.
Thanks. I just reread it myself. Good memories. I have done 3 of them now. I skipped one trip. Looks like some of the pic links went bad for some reason when it got moved to the trip report section or maybe my album changed. Regardless the missing pics in the trip report are still in the albums if anyone is wondering where they went.
In my opinion, using a referral week and having to sit through the timeshare presentation is only worth it if you are actually considering buying a membership. I don't think the high pressure sales pitch is worth it if you have no plans of buying, but just want the perks that come with the referral week. Again, this is just my opinion, but I don't go on vacation to be pressured, I go on vacation to get away from real word pressures.
We're going to give it a try this year, this will be our second visit. We'll certainly skip the tour and breakfast since we've been there before. I highly doubt we'll buy, but we will certainly listen to what they have to say. My only gotcha is - if we decide it's not for us, how do we gracefully exit? Is it even possible? We sat through one at Desire many years ago, and as we're not the type to be easily rude, it was difficult to get out of the situation.
I hear ya.. Well we are going to give it a shot. We may regret it after, but I have a strategy. One word yes or no responses to every question they ask. No expansion on my answers, no questions of my own, no friendly conservation. I'll be polite but closed ended. My goal is to make them more uncomfortable than they are making me. Hopefully when they see the game I'm playing, I'll get out of there early or on time..
Wont make any difference. They are going to go through the WHOLE speel whether you like it or not. Thats what they get paid to do. We have friends trying to get us to go on their membership this summer. I hate sitting through that crap, especially when I know Im not going to buy. I really dont like the timeshare sharks, but I also dont think it's really fair to me or them when Im not no way, no how going to buy. BUT! If the daily price keeps going up for us "have nots", we may reconsider sitting through it. LOL!
Well right now the referral rate per couple/night is $125 taxes in for end April to end November on our contract...thinking that is a decent rate.
Beats the hell out of $280. Is that the total? I think our friends said our total would be around $150?
You sure about that? That is the Members rate which is not the referral Rate unless you have a special contract. Email Premier to ask them what the referral rate is, it varies over the course of the year based on occupancy and peak/off peak + they sometimes offer specials like Buy 6 nights get the 7th free in the super slow season.
