Ask to look at your room before you accept it. If it is too close to the noise (or not to your liking for whatever reason) .... just ask for a different room. If there are other rooms available, the front desk staff will usually do what they can to accommodate you.
If you do the "express check in" and include your specific room request they usually accommodate you. We like the 5000 series rooms as they usually have a double shower that holds like ten people.... and they are quiet at night. They are on the far side of the sexy pool. Those aren't in as high a demand as far as rooms go so they are much more available.
