TTR is a ADULT resort and as long as you and your friends conduct yourself that way there should be no problem.
Hey Dan - We always find ourselves hanging out with singles (guys and girls) as well as couples. Typically - the singles that go to TTR are gonna be outgoing, cool and fun people. I wasn't trying to discourage singles at all. I just suggested that if four guys show up with one goal and that goal is to hook up...there are resorts much better suited to that by the sheer number of singles present.
Hey NewYork..after reading all this, I wish you were going in May when Me and my Single posse of 8 women are headed down, that would tip the single/couple scale a little. (even have some NYC friends we met in previous years meeting up with us.) This year will be our 4th time at TTR and although there are def couples there, I never really thought the ratio was that extreme..hmmm...I've never had trouble meeting single guys to hang out with while I'm down there. I agree with what most have said here, Respect and no expectations is supreme advice. Although, shouldn't that be the play for everyday life, everywhere? As a single woman I can tell you that a drunk, handsy, creep is not what most women want. So just be yourself (unless yourself is a drunk handsy creep), have an open mind and relax. The rest will fall into place....and like the rest of us on here...you'll have the time of your life! Guarenteed! My 2 cents
It wasn't a dig at you or anyone else specifically. But over the years every time singles guys ask about TTR everyone tries to send them elsewhere. Even Steve had to jump in this thread cause everyone was so quick to push them away.
TTR is not a couples resort. In fact some weeks the singles are equal to the couples in numbers. Trip #16 coming up in 5 weeks. And we go different times of the year, so I think I can add some perspective on this topic. First, the OP doesn't mention the age range of his group. But it is important. Young early 20's guys can be too Jersey Shorish for TTR's vibe. Loud Obnoxiouness and Aggression is not welcomed at the resort. Cool, respectful and decentness is always the ticket to great experiences no matter what the age of the lads. A group of older guys say 30 years old are never a problem. It is the college aged, living off mommy and daddy, disrepectful punks in packs that we all shun. But single guys for the most part are some of the best ppl, and often become repeat regulars and are luved by all. So perhaps the OP could state the ages and little more info about his buds and ppl might be a lil less agressive. And for the record, Halifax Dan is one of the nicest decent guy you would meet at TTR, and he makes sure to associate with the same, to safeguard singles dudes rep.
Sorry but I just have to ask.... you think of TTR as a couples resort, I guess it's your choice to 'think' that. Would that mean you would prefer us single ladies did not vacation there as well?
