After your post I did go back and read the trip advisor reviews. I was actually hoping they would be like temptations referencing either a great party or complaints about people acting a little crazy (which we take as a good thing). But instead there are a lot upset about the conditions of the rooms, quality of the food and most disappointing the service levels. I am going to take my own advice and not take them too seriously but will be watching over the next month hoping that not only the party comes (and my opinion is it will) but also the service and food levels improve. Let us know if you were successful making the switch and where you ended up.
We have decided to stay at this hotel. To be honest I guess I just expected it to be full of "swingers" and that being 23 and 25 we would be in a minority. I guess a few comments fulled our imaginations. I'm from the England we areused to seeing topless, plus I've been on plenty of 18-30's holidays through out Europe. I do really hope that the hotel has a party vibe as the foam pool party looks right up my street.
That makes sense. We just turned 40 (ouch I think that is the first time I typed that) but act like 25 year olds... into electronic dance music scene, go out a lot, etc. We are not swingers but party hard, especially while on vacation. We want a very active fun resort with a sexy/sensual vibe, which we hope GOV becomes. Believe it or not most (or a lot of, depending when you go) people at Temptation resort are not swingers. With GOV we figure if it doesn't have that vibe then at least the clubs are near by. But if they don't fix the food/service issues then we will reassess. They need and deserve some time to work out the flaws.
That's great .... I am confident that you will have nothing to worry about. My guess is that, similar to Temptation, there will be all ages represented and that the vast majority will not be swingers... and those few that are, will be very respectful and not at all pushy. We also be there the same time as you ... arriving on the 3rd. We agree that we hope the party vibe (and foam party) are happening. We look forward to meeting you.
That seems to be the perception all of the adult only themed resorts . Live your life and don't worry about what others are thinking or doing! For us it's worth the potential risk of people thinking the worst (best?) of us than vacationing with the Jones at a kid infested Disney like scream-fest adventure. Truth is you will be taxed to find any of it at TTR and likely GOV (we go to GOV in Feb,, will trip report), unless you make yourself available to it of coarse! Do a search on different colored wrist bands, seems to be the universal way of the like minded finding each other.. or go to Hedo! :ladiesman1:
Hello Valentina, What happen to the 2 nights a week at Elevate Nightclub? Is that still on the books? Hope it can be implemented soon
Valentina, please address some of the promises that seem to be going unfulfilled based on the reviews here and on Trip Advisor. When we booked, by all appearances (reports from people on this site who visited your resort, GOV's official website, YouTube videos), GOV was offering private parties at offsite night clubs, blind dining, hot tub use, foam parties, and theme nights. Since the changeover, the offsite parties are unlikely, the blind dining is closed, the hot tubs are only available for a fee, the themes aren't advertised online or anywhere at the resort, and the foam parties may or may not be going. In addition, the food is getting horrible reviews and the reservation system sounds completely inconvenient. I see that someone responds to all the TripAdvisor reviews, yet in scrolling back a long way, nothing ever seems to actually improve. What's up? What is being done to make GOV unique and address guests' concerns?
