Zero chance we are going to GOV if the bars close at 1am and we have to pay to use a jacuzzi. Those are show stoppers. No doubt about it. Neither promote the party atmosphere. Oh and beach boys at the club doesn't help either but I can get over that. 1am bar closure and the hot tubs not meeting expectations is going to result in a change of booking. I will give it another month to change but if it hasn't at that point we will just do TTR or a longer pearl stay. Fingers crossed they make changes.
Yes you are right , plus whoever has the biggest room bring the party back there. Also. Did I read that right , all bars are closed at 1. Have read other places they are open till three. My guess the weather had a big negative part of your trip. Look forward to. Other reports. 1 am. We are just getting started. Lol
i feel the same laura, i was looking forward to stepping on the wildside and although i dont mind stepping alone, its not fun when at least some ppl arent doing it too.. believe me going this early, i knew it wasnt gonna be 100% concept wise but i did think the theme nights would be advertised at least and some sexy party music incorporated.. c'est la vie..
Thank you very much for the detailed report - we arrive exactly a month after, I hope the wrinkles are ironed out by then. Valencia if you are watching this thread you really need to know your competition. It doesnt have to be just the same as TTR though know your market, you are surely pulling primarily from TTR's (Very Loyal) base of like minded people looking to live their vacation well outside of their lives at home (sure as hell describes us!). Get the sexy vibe going at check in, announce lingerie contests/nights / theme nights and keep a club open well past 1AM for starters! PLEASE! We will surely do our best to get parties started every night - just make sure security knows we are coming..

We've had shitty weather at TTR and still had a blast..The weather doesn't make the party, the people do
I totally agree!!! It looks like while we are there we have quite a few TTR regulars so I'm hoping we can liven things up!!!!
I truly hope they step it up and Fast - we all need a second choice in Cancun for adult fun but if this place keeps getting slammed (amongst CCC members & Tripadvisor primarily) it will be a go to only when TTR is booked solid. As fast as good news travels, it doesn't come close to long lasting bad 1st impressions.
We just don't get it - You had to be up and in line to make dinner reservations at 7am? No alcohol past 1am - make that 10pm for every bar but one? $11/hr for a hot tub? Restaurants not being open? And the resort was 100% full! We would expect these hiccups for a brand new hotel, but not a hotel that has been operating for years. The changeover is not the problem, it's management. I don't think Valentina has the ability to stop charging for hot-tubs, keep the bars open, or improve the food. With 400-rooms completely booked, if the hotel wanted to have a party atmosphere they would have opened the bars & kept the party going. If you build it they will come. The schedule they were keeping was forcing people to head off the resort to party so no one stuck around to part - Easy decision, right? Coyote bar can not hold but 200 people max and the GOV had 100% occupancy or roughly 350x2 + 50 singles so 750 people in attendance We're sorely disappointed and hope the next set of reviews come in stating lots of improvements. There is still plenty of time for improvements to be made. Only positive we got from this review was the music around the pool was good & the room was fabulous!
One only hopes that by hiring from Original resorts employee pool (Valentina and Sarah69) That management will eventually let them do what is needed to ensure a fun resort. That is if they are smart and let it happen and not make foolish decisions like the ones they have made at 100% capacity recently. We too dont get it but will give them the chance as we just want to experience something new and have fun wherever we are. Were not worried about that, we can adapt and have fun. And hey going to a club for a night is not the end of the world.. LOL
