They are full of shit, we were there over Halloween and every morning at 8am pounding, drilling & sawing. I complained and everytime they gave me.....I don't know of any construction reply. After 3 days of complaining I finally gathered all the sawdust that fell down onto or balcony and dropped it on the desk!
Make no mistake and don't get this confused with... the POUNDING & SCRATCHING on my door at 3am,..... I finally let her out!
In the end it all comes down to: - When the "cheque in the mail" actually arrives and it doesn't bounce - When he says "Don't worry honey I won't cum in your mouth" and he actually doesn't But still a little reassuring just the same
I could be very wrong but I can't help but wonder how much of this "new" TTR is real and how much is "fakie" as as result of the changes at GOV! Just an idea.... And while we're at it it is our opinion that some renovations are in order but an expansion of the resort by the scale mentioned in here by some could be disastrous to the resort! It's our hope that renovations proceed..........but the expansion stalls out.
Over the years we have been at TTR (and Blue Bay in the old days) during renovations and have always had a good time. The way we look at it . . . the worst day at TTR is always better than the best day here in New York, LOL
It's currently below 0*F here everyday, -40 with the wind chill and covered in snow and ice. With that said, they could be building my room for me while I wait and it's still better then being here in upstate New York, LOL Seriously, we have stayed at several resorts over the years (in the USA & Mexico) as they were adding on or doing full scale construction, we always managed to have fun. The sights were not pretty to look at (cranes, rebar, cement mixers) and it can get noisy at times during the day. Lucky for us we do not sleep in, typically we are up by 6am, walking the beach or doing photo shoots by 7am so the noise does not bother us. I will take full blown construction over kids running around the resort on my vacation any day, lol. I guess as I get older I have learned not to sweat the small things and to live life to the fullest. I've lost friends over the years and now try to live each day like it's my last, because it just might be. I figure I have 20 good years left at most (I'm 58) and I'm going to do my best to enjoy them. If I showed up and there was construction I would still be visiting with old friends, meeting new friends, have a positive attitude and a fun vacation. I'm sure the construction would be the topic of discussion, but I would not let it ruin my time in Cancun. We would most likely joke about it instead. On the other hand there are people that would show up, bitch and moan, and have a rotten vacation no matter what . . . that's their choice. Come Hell or High Water, construction or no construction, I will be tanning my ass at TTR May 7-21 2014, lol. Only 4 more months, I can't wait to get to my Cancun home and see everybody :flash:
