Unless you're an utter pessimist, or the folks running TTR are completely clueless, this approach makes the most sense. Then again, we may be totally naive... which could be why we're going in April
We were there shortly after hurricane Wilma. There was plenty of construction/rebuilding and we managed to have a great time. Some of the rooms were not even open yet.
has anyone been there recently? or is anyone there right now? that could shed some light on this subject...

Funny. He responds like that is a good thing and everyone should be happy. I think it is a bad thing and am hoping for renovations for long term enjoyment at the cost of short term inconvenience Hopefully it is just a sales person trying to ensure you still book and it isn't accurate.
I think it makes sense from the point of view that if you are planning a trip you don't want to worry about the possibility of it being affected by construction. It's actually good to hear that they wouldn't be trying to start up construction on short notice. It gives everyone (them and us guests) more chance to be prepared for it.
Well, That will be stupid if they do that on peck season ( November - April ). I'm pretty sure they if they do somes reno, it will be between May- June up to October. Since it's off Season.. Cost this year it's just crazy !! -_-
I think the most surprising thing about the email is that somebody at TTR actually responded to an email.
