If you go on the TTR website it says there is a dress code for the reservation resturants and the manager may have been just avoiding a conflict by saying no dress code cause the guy was already sitting and perhaps tipping well.. haha!.
But I thought that as long as the fun Parts were covered - which her dress and thong just barely does -- that you were fine Love the dress, BTW. And how she looks I it. Where did Erin buy it, or was it a gift from you?
I agree with 2plus4 !! It's all about the ladies . We don't go out that much but when we do I consider it a privilege to be with Marie and I want to show her that I'm honored to be there with her . Although I never liked the long pants rule in 90+ deg. weather I respected the rule . I believe to show up in board shorts flip flops and a swag shirt is disrespectful to everyone especially your date unless she's nude . I prefer dress shorts and a nice collared shirt and no flip flops !!
My hub will be wearing at least something like Chris above with nice, leather, "flip flops", if they are actually allowed. But it will be early May so it's not likely to be super hot yet. I would be ok with men wearing chino/dress/khaki (however you would like to refer to them ) shorts and a polo or nice short sleeve button down. But as everyone else has said, we will still dress nice for reservation dinners and just hope to sit near/with others that are dressed nice
I know there have been posts saying shorts and sandals are allowed for men but until the hotel web site is updated might be safe to pack at least one pair of casual pants and closed toe shoes for hubby.
I haven't had an issue wearing dress shorts to any of the restaurants on any of our trips. I always wear a nice shirt also. what other people wear has never bothered me as I am too busy paying attention to my lovely wife or the friends we are with.
