There is no longer a dress code at any of the restaurants. The only requirement is men must have sleeves on there shirts - as in no tank tops. *Information above was verified with a restaurant manager in October over our complaints of a 20-something male being let in with board shorts, flip flops and a SWAG SWAG SWAG SWAG neon printed t-shirt.
I for one am a little saddened at this, I mean this was really one of the only rules at a place where there really isn't a whole hell of a lot of rules. I've said on a previous post I thought it was a little harsh for the guys to wear long pants and that I saw nothing wrong with the Bermuda or dress shorts and a golf or polo shirt for comfort. I know as a couple we go there to reconnect and enjoy one another with spice from the sexy pool thrown in for good measure, at dinner time we'd go up have a shower together and get ready. Then she dresses sexy for me and in return I dress nicely for her, the Italian restaurant is set up for a romantic dinner and I feel this place is worth dressing up for. This board short and t-shirt thing reminds me of the way our boys dress for dinner all summer long ( cottage country) so when we get a chance to go away and go to restaurants where adults congregate it's nice not having to see board shorts and t-shirts. Of course this wont change the way I dress for dinner I'll do as I've always done and dress for dinner just have to ask the maître d to sit us in a more secluded spot I suppose.
I guess it's to each their own. For me, it is just so much more respectful to have the men all dressed nicely. (Though I have no issue with sandals and dress pants, it's Mexico for goodness sakes!) I so rarely get to see my man all decked up so I look forward to those nights!
Dress like your date deserves. Guess that dude's girl just deserved flip flops and a swag swag swag tank top. Kinda fell a little sorry for her I suppose. Personally, I got a better girl. She deserves an element of effort from me.
I could not agree more Dave. The ladies work so hard to look nice for all of us men it is the least we can do to put on some nice clothes when going out to dinner with them.
