Ok , so every year there are more and more members, and they take up more and more special areas, what will ''they'' (TTR Management )do when its all members ? They will have no more special areas to give cause , cause they will be all special. There comes a tipping point were non-members will be the minority and no longer want to come.
I've said this before but this maybe the direction they are going for, like you said more and more every year... if we don't become members then we maybe out of luck or only get in buying weeks from members.
that is the way I have seen TTR going as well ! my first trip was still Blue Bay ! every year since the membership grew , and their area grew with them. I know a lot of fun people that regret " buying in " and rarely hear people talking about renewing. I was there last Feb and didn't realise the white bracelet's now get special pool chairs as well ! how many pool loungers are reserved ? and at what end of the pool do they get ? I feel this may be going private members only resort. so say they do add more rooms , and they do have all the member areas (beach, pool , upper deck , fancy rooms ) guessing the non members will have standing room only ? Hedo is a much longer flight for us , Cabo is closed ! GOV is huge ! Desire 2015 ? ? ? Jan 31 - Feb 8th
No we haven't. Desire concept is not really our kind of thing, seems too quiet and an older age group unless part of a takeover and we arent in any groups that do takeovers. Cabo is about 1500 miles from here and Temptation Cancun is a ten minute drive so for the TTR concept we prefer to get our fix at TTR Cancun
Interesting developments. I personally wouldn't want to go to the resort during construction. Strange that they want to extend around Paty O. There'll be a lot more people complaining about being put in the noisy area. I agree that it'll block the sun earlier in the day. When I go in December, the sun barely gets above the buildings already, although where the sun sets is by the 5000 block so that wouldn't affect it late in the day, it would just block the sun out for a bit earlier in the day. This thing about smoking, just ban it in Paty O. It's a 30-second walk to the grassy space adjacent to Paty O. Before you all start on me, I smoke yet my opinion favours on the side of the non-smokers. We have a choice to smoke or not, it's only fair that we should be the ones inconvenienced for our habit. Non-smokers have smoke forced upon them whether they like it or not and that's seriously wrong. If I was told there would be a smoking ban in Paty O I wouldn't have an issue with that. It would help stop the cravings to not have it constantly in my face! I will eagerly await what they're going to do with Nice Shoes. It's disgusting in there as it stands. I wonder if when it's complete they'll make it the main night spot rather than Paty O? If so it desperately needs better seating, AC and dance floor.
RENOVATIONS I HEARD MEMBERS TALKING ABOUT MY LAST STAY.. heard they were putting suites on top of the buildings where the premier members stay now. aprox 35 new rooms and that they purchased the hotel to the west of Temptation (massage on the beach area to the west of the boat dock and albatross) which is 150 more rooms.. steve any word on that you are very in tune with things? i agree that the sexy pool gets nasty in july so 7 floors of rooms could get super nasty!! also the swim up bar couldnt handle much more
That is a good point and I have to agree with you on this but... Premier needs to stop being greedy and has to balance things out or they will lose both members and regular guests! They need to cater to everyone's vacation not just a select group only but when someone pays $15K for some perks they have to give those as well. I think they could do a much better job on meeting everyone's vacation needs and keep everyone happy.
