Yes, I meant no offense by saying the smoking turns us off, it's just a preference. Right now Patty O's is open air so it's nicer/not a huge issue if others are smoking but with a roof it would be a lot worse. Cigar lounge? That would be a good space to revamp that is probably under utilized! I agree 100%, JoeMar.
Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, lets split the difference on the number of rooms removed from service over 3 floors;75. Add 4 more stories @25 rooms per floor for a total of 100 new rooms plus what is built where Embarcadero is; let's say another 25 rooms... I really can't see the existing dinning establishments handling the potential new volume of guests, the bars being able to keep up the current level of service, the number of pool side chairs being adequate (and not a whole lot of room to add more), the capacity of the pools being large enough or the outdoor washroom facilities meeting demand. Then you lose probably around another 2 hours of sun on the pools on top of a minimum 12-18 month (or longer?) major renovation with maybe a 25% max occupancy rate during that time...think Premier is going to take a big hit that they may not fully recover from. I think people / groups will search out other resorts and quite possibly not return if alternative comparably priced / atmosphere places are found. If people wanted a hotel they would go to a hotel...IMHO Here is hoping to improvements to the existing facilities and NOT a major renovation. Ok, I'll shut up now, lol. Scott
No offense taken at all.. we understand how non smokers feel.. we've tried to quit many times... Cigar Lounge is a beautiful spot over in the 5000 block, all it needs is a bartender. For us it would be nice to have a place to have a drink and a puff and nice quiet social area.
