We all love rumours about the upcoming renovations! These may or may not turn out to be true, please don't quote them as fact. - The rooms around Paty O's will go to 7 storeys high (presumably with elevators) and providing a lot more Ocean View rooms - The Paty O area will have a roof, kind of retractable or some other similar mechanism such that it will be covered when it rains and open the rest of the time with ventilation. - The main buffet area Embarcadero will have rooms built on top of it too. - Both of the above areas can not currently support extra construction on top of them so will have to be rebuilt from the ground up. - Nice Shoes and the Alternative Bar will be merged into one big nightclub area, with the floor level being adjusted to be consistent between the two. Exciting times ahead!
This is mexico? well since this is mexico we hope for renos but let us love what we have party on!!!!!!!!!!!
Im not sure if more rooms is a great idea. The Sexy Pool is already maxed out for space, lucky if you can find a chair around there if you're not up saving one at 7 am. Oh well I can see where more rooms works better for the owner.
We choose our holidays by the place not being more than three storeys. Hate the places that have more than three so if they extend this one it will make us look else where, it is why we are not interested in GOV
Agreed. More than 3 or 4 storeys makes us feel like we are in a "hotel" more than in a "resort" per say. That is also whats makes us think twice about GOV even if it looks like so much nicer. But then if TTR is also gonna have that big hotel feeling, we are off to try GOV anyway.
Not sure I like the idea either, the hotel now blocks the sun around 5pm if they go to 7 stories I would think the sun would be blocked a lot earlier. The other thing a roof over patio's I wonder about smoking. I'm sure we're a minority when it comes to that but still a concern for us.
I agree more than 4 is too much, I agree the pool is already crazy busy. They would be better off expanding right or left if possible, or even moving resorts altogether. Personally I just dont see MORE PEOPLE a good thing in a resort that is fairly crowded as it is. If they fix some of the smaller issues that we have been talking about, and charge us each a few hundred more, they might honestly be better off. Or opening a new resort...ah its hard to say. I hope that we all have a way of staying in touch, I have a gut that we will be going elsewhere after 2015. Its not the resort I love, its the people.
