I agree with a lot of this. I think you put it very well and it is constructive feedback. What I agree with most of all is the latin music. Sure some is fine. We expect it. We are in Mexico after all. But you can't deny the fact that the party stops and there usually is no one or very few people left dancing. So if you are trying to be a party hotel and pull in more people to the concept then that type of music isn't going to do it.

I do disagree slightly on the club trip. I think if it is done right then it could work. By right I mean it has to be appealing enough to get everyone to want to go. This primarily means still free drinks. If you get 1 or 2 free drinks and then have to pay I don't think many will go and the party will be split. Secondarily it means the referenced sexy event has to be appealing. Maybe you can push the limits more in the club than you could at the hotel? Since it is a private club more skin, nakedness, etc? If that is the case then I could see people going since it is different than what they can experience at the hotel. But if it is just another strip tease show then I agree that the party will be split and not many will go.

    Thanks for listening as always!

Just want to add my 2 cents here....let's face it, the music makes the party. If a good variety of music is played, the dance floor will be filled and people will have a great time. This is true for any event....a wedding, a barbecue, a house party, and any club.

Limiting the music to just one type or genre will not be well received. There have been enough posts and complaints about it on the TTR boards over the years.

I really hope this is one thing that GOV will take into consideration for their new concept/changeover.

Looking forward to our trip in Feb!

Valentina........the Foam Party pics look awesome! You've probably already read the posts on the other thread.......looks like it's a hit with everyone that was there and everyone who's booked to go there. Please tell us it will be a weekly event........it looks so fun and it definitely would help the changeover as it creates a fun party atmosphere for "everyone" to enjoy. The more new things we see & read about GOV the more excited we are to go.

We are looking at the possibility of visiting GOV in January or February, and looking on Alpharooms I am confused by the different room selections, especially given the very discounted prices for a "standard twin" compared to what the list prices are on the website. If we booked the "standard twin" room, what room is that -and is it really $650 per person for Jan 15-22? When you look up the cost on Expedia, there are only two room choices, so this is confusing on Alpharooms.

Im not sure about the room selections on Alpharooms but we found a much better deal on Orbitz. It surprised us since we usuallybook TTR through Alpharooms.
