Key Things we've noticed over 10 trips:

    1. As stated above, something to do during bad weather, i.e. Rainy afternoons and evenings. An Idea would be to go ahead and install a cover over Patyo's, either permanent or a rollout one, just to keep rain off.

    2. Less behavior police. If the ladies want to get naked, so what. I've yet to see anyone at Patyo's at midnight offended by a streaker, though I've seen security sort of move around awkwardly. Flashing is Fun, right? Right!

    3. Higher Quality booze for everyone. Yes, I know this costs momney, but the bump in rates to cover that would NOT be much and the profit margin would stay the same. (I bet average price per day per person goes up maybe $5 USD,, serious. Yes, I know they'll lose money on some, but gain on others, right...

    4. An actual "Nightclub" on premises. Note: The present Nice Shoes does NOT qualify. (but, that'd cut into their profit margin, so... maybe...)

    5. Regular groups, scheduled and arranged, to nightclubs in town, leaving around 9:30 each night. Just to get people there, find your own way home.

    Just my thoughts.

    Totally agree with Sam's comments.

Don't agree with some of the comments that put pressure on Steve to take these comments and suggestions to the TTR management. If the TTR management team does not give two Sh&@s about their loyal customers then it will soon become evident in their profitability.

As I have stated before it is Us that make the good time at TTR. Us being the repeat loyal customers that try and meet up year after year. That same US can easily move. As long as we move the party together,,,,it is the same party.

I would like nothing more than TTR to pay attention and change things....beginning with our rooms, mattresses, sheets, towels, bedspreads and much needed updating to most of the bathrooms. I would feel very bad about leaving the great staff at TTR but can you just imagine how they feel?

I want TTR to make improvements and lower their prices to the affordability that we have all grown to love! I just priced out a vaca for and older couple (Henry and Janet) for March. The difference between TTR and Gov is almost $600 cheaper at Gov. That's quite a bit of difference considering the Gov is 4 - 5 star!

    Just my 2 cents

Having just been there last week.....The pool is heated in December at least. It was NOT warm at all last December. What we were told is the heat comes from the air conditioning units. ...so the more running the more heat u get. So it is a change....

I think threads like this are valuable, coming from the largest online community of TTR repeaters. If the hotel read and consider the suggestions then it is by far the best source of feedback they could have. Far better than comment cards, check out rating system or one off Trip Advisor reviews.

I know at one time the hotel did read the forum regularly, I'm not sure if that is still the case. I have also encouraged them to have an official representative join cancuncare and take an active part in liaising with their customers here - just as I asked the same of GOV. TTR have a marketing team of *I think* 5 full time people, I'm sure they could spare one for an hour or two a day but there seems to be some reluctance to take part here for some reason.

I'm not comfortable with amalgamating and presenting the suggestions/concerns to management in a semi-formal way. It would be probably seen as interfering and that's not what I want to be known for.

Hopefully the hotel will see the comments here and can figure them in to any changes they plan to undertake.

I agree Steve it shouldn't be your job to "officially" meet with Temp and give them our suggestions. It just makes no sense that they wouldn't use this site like the good people from GOV have. Imagine the relationship GOV management might have with this community once they start seeing the $$$ we bring. $50 says in 2 years this site will be their main feedback source and because of that they'll always be one step ahead of TTR!

That's never made sense to me. Corporations spend millions trying to drum up an online presence like this for their brand. Smart marketers would drool to find a resource like this devoted to their product and providing a mainline to their customers' honest opinions. It's always made me feel a little skeptical of TTR's marketing/management that they steadfastly refuse to acknowledge and take advantage of this site.

Change up the games and turn up the music at the pool. Go back to top 40 instead of mexican crap.
Get rid of the pool party it sucks.
Have the DJ at Patyo's every night, that's where we like it.
Totally get rid of Nice shoes, it's too hot in there.

I hate the pool party too. Splits the crowd making two lame parties. Only way I'd be down with keeping the pool party would be if they encouraged skinny-dipping. But well all know that ain't going to happen lol.

If you look at the first page of CC ,, it lists the number of views , there are literately hundreds of thousands of people/views.
TTR could not buy such well targeted publicity. They (TTR management ) are idiots not to see that and participate.

Nice to see some one knows the value.
