Are there any plans, or thought given to heating them?

From what I saw, GOV has more hot tubs than Carter has Liver pills. (you have to be 50+ to remember those little pills).

    Cool, thanks!
I can say that the pools were warm on their own in the afternoon when I was down there last December (at TTR). Those were on sunny days. I wasn't looking to be in a pool on the odd stormy day.

Since you'd be in a pretty good position to know, can you say how common it is?

We were at TTR this past week and took a tour of GOV on Monday. Great place, and that is where we will be looking to book next year. We want to give it time to get some of the vibe after the official concept is in place and we also like to get away during the winter.

I stuck my hand in the pools. Not heated but like Breezes said, the way the pool is aligned with the building looks like it would be in full sunlight till the sun goes down, which is a plus.

Many hot tubs, real ones, scattered throughout! Semi-private with the little curtain thingies that come down. :icon_razz:

We really loved the property and for the price (barely more than TTR in December anyway) it's 110% a no brainer for us, providing it has the same atmosphere.

Valentina, the girl who gave us the tour was great. - I believe her name was Xochitl? Anyway...she told us that only ONE of the restaurants (white box) needed a reservation and that it must be made day of, which we were happy about. SO if she is wrong, please let her know for future tours.
(she did mention she was new). There were a couple questions she didn't know off hand, but she found out that information and gave it to us once the tour was completed.

Also, I will say, we were treated to a drink from the VIP bar and we all agreed they were the best drinks we were served all week!

Only downside: There was a grumpy bartender working at the Diva bar in the lobby. We asked for water upon arrival and were told he would give it to us. He did not want to serve us WATER because we didn't have the proper wristband? We found this off putting. The rest of the staff though, i will say - was great. They spoke English well and seemed a step above many other resort staff we have encountered in Cancun.

To the bartenders defense this is Mexico , and he probably feared loosing his job serving you with out a wrist band.

Does sound promising, looking forward to April,, thanks for the report.

Walking into any hotel with the wrong braclettes on I doubt you will get any services anywhere, it's about security for their guest and profits going out the window, good thing you mentioned that the front desk said to come over. We went and checked out the other Oasis' and their braclettes works at the other Oasis hotels too, so you have more than one place to party
