Robin & myself(Steve) run our own business and this year we saw everything from unpredicted growth which meant hiring staff to having clients refuse payment and then having to work more 100+ hour weeks than we ever expected. To say The lest we NEED this vacation more than anything. Robin spent a year living in Mexico in her university years so the previous 2 times we have had the opportunity to go somewhere tropical it's been a no banner and we went to Mexico. The first trip was for our honeymoon and we spent a week at a resort that had just opened. The staff was amazing but the resort really lacked in the entertainment. All bar and restraint areas were closed by 10 and there was almost no activities during the day. The appeal for us was it wasn't crowded and we were able to do some amazing day trips. Probably the biggest highlight was we got to release baby sea turtles into the ocean on the second to last night we were on the resort. Our second trip was a little over 2 years ago and it was a family reunion of sorts with most of robin's family (8 of us). The resort was a lot bigger and a lot more segregated than our first experience, so much so that I got lost on more than one occasion going from the pool to the room which was not always because of the drinks. One part of the trip that I always bring up to people was the amount of kids at the resort under 10-12 yrs old that were in the same pool with the groups playing tequila football. Makes it hard to relax in a atmosphere like that. We are obvious first timers to Temptation and we really don't know what to expect but the biggest difference between the lead up to this trio and the others has been the level of excitement about going. We still have almost 2 weeks to go before our trip and we are impatiently waiting out the cold weather (-36 in Edmonton today). We have gone through our wardrobes to find the proper attire for the theme nights, bought outfits for the ones we didn't and even went as far to get some "special" outfits for us to try if we get comfortable enough. I see this trip as a way for us to add a new chapter to our lives which I hope means repeated good times a resort that we see is so special to so many.
