anyone having health issues after return from TTR ?

Good thing about commercial aircraft is that the air is circulated with outside air and ran through HEPA filters, surfaces however are sketchy, watch what you touch, drink your water (mandatory) and tray tables are the nastiest. Think of the things you touch just on the way to the airport? door handle's, ATM buttons, etc.

 

I have seen mothers use the trays to change dirty diapers.. They had wipes, but still........

I've seen this before... I've even been that asshole who says "What is that awful smell" or "Who would do that right there!?!?" loud enough so that they can hear me... That's just disgusting.

 

We have been there 4 times, and each time I had a bad cold by the last day of the trip (awesome for the long flights home!). I know a lot of it has to do with heavy partying and late nights. Two of the trips I did get some type of food poisoning, but I'm kind of sensitive to some foods. I do think the resort can do a better job in keeping the A/C clean and working, and also with cleaning the drains in the bathrooms on the floor - we actually had to change rooms one trip because the drain flooded the room after taking a shower and the smell was HORRIBLE!!!!

 

We always get resortsick heading back home... seems to go away while flying back down to the resort on our next trip...

 

I cant give you an answer. We have this problem just about every time we go, it's mold. I am sure the air ducts have not been cleaned it the last 50 yrs, its the tropics, mold builds fast. My hubby cant talk in the morning and my noses runs non stop.Spraying lysol in the return air ducts helps, other than that turn off the air and open the sliding glass doors at night!

 

I hear ya this isn't ideal but where would you suggest they do it? Its not like there's a ton of options lol.
