I have been watching like a hawk for the last two weeks to book our mid January trip. All the usual big box sites were about $175pp/night. Alpharooms surprisingly was about $150pp/night. But then I noticed yesterday the big sites were starting to fall into the $140pp/night area, so today I rechecked Alpha... $100pp/night! I know it isn't the lowest ever paid, but I am satisfied and pulled the trigger. These 5 days (Jan 15-19) will finish off our BPM Music Festival trip nicely. See you soon! :headbanger:
$100pp/night.. not all that big of a deal to me I guess. Last year we were at $140/nt per couple($70pp/night). TTR is still over priced but it's nice to see the prices going in the right direction.
We were there in August for about $130/nt per couple as well. But I just assumed this was because it was August, and not to get used to it. :huh: AND, the referral quotes I got were like $220/pp per night! How INSANE?!
Edit: Just went back and looked again. One of my quotes makes sense, the other doesn't. Regardless it was still more, but possibly not by much.
You are right though the prices have come down. I booked through a referral and paid $208 per couple. When I booked the best prices I was finding at that time was abut $250 per couple. The referral includes all taxes.
Even the week 8 prices, which everyone is complaining about, are pretty reasonable in my view. Feb 15-23 (our dates) via Alpharoom works out to $210.92 per night for a couple. That's total, not per person. Looking at what you get for that (unlimited alcohol and food) and a place to stay with the best people you'll ever meet, I still consider it a bargain.
