I'll be looking at numbers next week and see if we might get enough people for more cruises in December. If you book for the 9th then it's no problem at all to switch to a later date, if we have one.
Trina updated the roll calls today and in reviewing numbers for December I see that we only have about 20 people arriving between 9th and 23rd December, mostly at different times. I'm sure no one wants to cruise on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day, plus it would be equally awkward for ourselves and our staff. Therefore, unless a big group comes along in the next week or two to it's fair to say we wont be running any more cruises before Christmas, after the one scheduled for the 9th. Numbers are better between Christmas and New Year, with the 27th or 28th looking like potential possibles. We are far enough away to leave it a few weeks more before deciding though. Then we move on to Jan and all hell breaks loose once again!
I reviewed the numbers today on the December roll call and I still cant see us getting the numbers for another cruise after the latest scheduled one on the 9th, and before Christmas. We have quite a few people arriving the 22nd so I considered 23rd, but since almost all those are staying for 2 weeks they would be able to make a cruise between Christmas and New Year. If we were to run a cruise both just before and just after Christmas then there's a chance we wouldn't get sufficient numbers for either since we'd be splitting the small pool of people we have between two dates. After Christmas is looking better, I think we'll be able to run one after Christmas but before New Year. 27th and 28th are about equal in numbers but there are some who arrive the 27th and others who leave the 28th so there's no single date that suits all. In the end I decided to go for 27th, because we may also run one very early Jan (possibly 2nd) and there's a good chance the Dec 27 and later arrivals will be able to make that one, whereas the 28th departures would have no other date option. ========================= TLDR: We'll be proposing a cruise for Fri Dec 27 and deposits will open Wed Nov 27 (usually around lunchtime)
