I don't think they intend to cater to large groups of singles, just that they wont turn them away. I'm sure their main target is couples, and couples will predominate. Kind of like TTR.
Yes all rooms are Ocean view, some have a better view than others. About 140 of the 400 rooms have balconies. So, most don't.
Yes, I will be adding a new sub forum in the next few days. Not really fair on the Temptation folks to keep harping on about a different hotel in their section As an aside I'm looking to restructure the whole forum, there are lots of subforums that are dead and some that can be merged. There will be less emphasis on general Cancun information forums and more emphasis on adults only hotels communities.
See above for first question. Yes, we often have some people not staying at TTR join us on the cruise. They don't need to buy a day pass.
I've got a lot more pictures to post. Some didnt come out very well as it was so bright outside and dark inside, but I'll see what I've got that is worth posting.
I emailed the resort directly to find out pricing for all 4 room options as well as why the travel sites are only offering standard and spice ocean view. We are going to give this a whirl mid February. Thanks so much Steve in sorting all the facts out for us! Much appreciated!:icon_wink:
Desire RM has a year after year weekly average occupancy rate of over 70% - something most resorts would love to have. Desire Pearl was certainly lower during it's first year of operation, but since they closed Desire Los Cabos that has all changed and Pearl bookings are way up currently. I certainly don't think that GOV will have any effect on regular Desire bookings at either property. I do see however that GOV "could" attract small lifestyle groups for takeover of the Sian Ka rooms and virtually private jacuzzi's and the associated communal roof top area / terrace and outdoor beds.
Here's some pics I snapped as we walked round. Sorry about the quality. Lobby, looking towards the beach Beach
