Couple things here rates will go up every year, prices rise on everything just about year to year, thats natural economics per say. Now the percentage could be up for debate. But are you also looking at same time frame. The peak seasons and holidays are going to cost more than off peak. And I am sure in the hotel industry rates flucuate depending on reservations held and not held.
Totally false-- based on competition and demand prices could go down. Many places once nice turn into shitholes.
Talked to a lot of members this week , and a lot of them a peed off, thinking there rates were frozen when they wern't . Apon arriving at the Hotel , the Saleperson launched into me, and specifically said the rates were set, when I questioned her and challenged her , say my friends rates just went up over 20 % , she responded by saying the AI fees were exemt from the set portion of the contract and do go up.
From a average of $130 per day per person from all our previous vacations to the new $220 per day per person, we have been looking on several travel websites and this seems to be the new theme. Not worth it in our books! Any place we have gone to in the past we have had just as much fun, minus the AIWC and the Boobs Crusie, sure it's a great place with adults acting like teenagers but as a adult I can't see shelling out $440 a day to get hammered, splash around the pool, and do evening themes, shit We can do that at any hotel.
I just checked Alpharooms (our normal way of booking) and it looks like prices are dropping. Now they're only just slightly higher from last year. As far as June goes, looks like around 82/pp a night for the regular garden view room.
Lenni, I assume you are looking at Week 8? I just checked Alpharooms and our dates, which we had already booked Feb 15-23 (8 nights) are $1,672 total, which works out to $104.50 pp per night, or less than half of what you quoted above, and lower than what you paid in past years. Are we talking about the same thing here?
