Weather-Temperatures for Weeks 1 and 2?

Hey all who've visited TTR in Weeks 1 or 2!

We've never been in January, and were curious (since we've apotential vacation opening) that first full week in January of 2014.

What's the weather in Cancun generally like that time of year? Rainy? Heat level around the Sexy Pool? Water temp IN the Sexy Pool? Nighttime temps at Patyo's for skimpy ladies outfits for the evenings partying?

All help will be appreciated, LOL!

No, ya don't get to say, Just Drink More, in this pair O Texans' case, that don't work. If it's cold, drinking doesn't help us out. Too thin-blooded now...

 

We were there 2 years ago Week 1, was ok to sun bath but too cold to be in the pool, or get out if you dared go in the pool.
The sun goes behind the building at 4;20pm and the temp drops.

Still better then -20 up north.

 

John, little cold won't bother you and Stacia, you guy are frickin bad ass! Stacie will heat the place up and you can just follow her around, not a problem...HaHa

 

We went the 3rd week of January one year, and never once was able to go into the pool or the ocean because of the chilly, windy conditions. And we are from Minnesota, so that is saying a lot. We will never go in January again.

 

Have been to TTR in January once. Pool was cold. We had 3 days of really cold and rainy weather (too cold to take my hoody off), but Miss Temptation finals were on that week, so we still had a pretty good time.
Then last year we were at Desire RM for 2 weeks in January, had the most perfect weather and got the best tan I've ever had!

That's precisely what I was afraid of! If People from almost in the Great White North can't make it work, even WITH Booze, then our thin-skinned Texas selves wouldn't be having fun at all.

I'm thinking TTR for Stacia & John is an April to November thing, with November at the outside...

 

we were there last year the last week in January and it was nice weather a few days were cool at night but the days were wonderful and pools where warm enough...but then again us Canadians can handle the cold lol

 

We've been in January 4 times, with our 5th time coming in 2014, and once in July this year. Out of the 30 days we've spent there in January, probably 25 have been nice to very nice, with cooler temps and clouds/rain the other 5. I honestly liked the weather in July better, but the heat and humidity don't bother me, and all 7 days in July were 100% sunny. July also has much more daylight than January, when it is dark by about 6 pm.

 

we have been in January, warm enough, I needed a light jacket or wrap at night at patios but after a couple of shots of tequilla I was warm enough,,,lol ..never went in the pool but not a big pool girl anyways..its not my favorite time but.. Im trying to convice the hubby to go the end of January.. its his B-day..

 

This is one of the only areas that Jamaica has Cancun beat. Weather in Jan-Feb is 82-83 and the ocean is even warmer. Its also the "high" season as far as $$$ is concerned!!!
