How about two 7 day trips per year? LOL.... Of course then I'd have only one week of vacation left for the kids.

Maybe, but we were ready to be home by the end of the week. Five days twice would be doable and not overwhelming

 

A couple more trips, and you will get over the Desire to be home by the end of the week.

 

I agree. Brent and I were not ready to leave after our 4th 8 day trip. Not even close.

We did 3 7-day trips this year, Jan, April & Sept/Oct. We came back from this one having had a fantastic time but not terribly rested, and we didn't party nearly as hard as all of you. We've just booked a week at Golden Parnassus, Dec 14-21, for Ali's b'day so we can have a more restful vacation.

 

100% agree with this logic! And make them go over a weekend so you are only taking 3 or 4 vacation days each trip.

 

I think this makes a lot more sense for US visitors than Canadians, airfare from Canada is so high that it almost seems like a waste of money to go for just 4 or 5 nights. I think our trip this time was $3,000 (Ali can correct me if I'm wrong), and our dollar is worth almost the same as yours now.

That makes sense if you do it over a weekend and only use 3 or 4 vacation days each trip. We just used 6 vacation days on this past trip.

The 2 1/2 hour flight is what makes it easiest for us

 

For October airfare was $300 each for us and $730 for 5 nights so $1330 total USD. Usually in April/May the airfare is $600 each. Double but still worth it.

This coming May we are looking at $600 each for air so $1200 there and $174 a night premier referral so $870 for hotel. So $2070 for 5 nights or $2430 for 7 nights. But then we might try Desire for a couple nights. For every night we add Desire we need to add $225 (ouch). So right now I am thinking May 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th at TTR, 5th, 6th, 7th at Desire Pearl for $3000 or doing the exact same breakout but a week later.

And then doing 5 nights in October 2014 all at TTR (unless we fall in love with Desire Pearl) arriving either Thursday Oct 2nd, departing Tuesday October 7th or 1 full week later Thursday Oct 9th, departing Tuesday October 14th. Which is the more official Octoberbreast time? Plenty of time to work this stuff out but I love to dream about it!
