Funny thing is that's dirt cheap. Instead of selling 500 people a timeshare, you could sell 500 people a real share. $44,000 a piece which I'd guess is affordable to many people that frequent these places. You'd have a cash-paid resort that would only have to cover operating costs. Might make some money before it gets nationalized.
Agreed fully! This was a 96 suite place with pretty nice layouts for each room, grounds, whirlpools, etc. Didn't look into the beach details much. Many of the others posted were $50M+, but this one seemed more conducive to the type of environment we like at TTR.
Imagine trying to operate a business though where 500 people all want (and are entitled to) input into how its run. 96 rooms is 35,000 nights a year. Say each of the 500 investors want to go twice a year for a week (presumably free of charge) that's 7,000 nights and 20% of your inventory used up right away.
