so according to 2 different weather forcasting apps, its supposed to storm and rain out whole trip. Question 1, does the booze cruise go in the rain? 2. if it doesn't do they refund our deposit? 3. i plan on still partying my ass off, who is gonna drink with me?
I have been trying not "to go there" and be negative, but the weather forecast for our entire trip Oct 24-29 according to weather.com looks like a complete wash out. But, hey, it's better than working and we will make the best out of it! Just in case it works, say a little prayer to the sun gods!
there's nothing you can do about the weather. If you look at sites like theweathernetwork.com (Canadian site) they say about an inch of rain per day Friday, Saturday, Sunday. If you look at other sites like wunderground.com (Weather underground) they are more conservative about amounts. Basically I assume the forecasters are always lying. either way I plan on having fun, if the cruise can't go ahead it can't. That would become a good day to stay at the resort or go to the market and get trinkets while enjoying beer!
Question 1- Steve takes everyone's safety into consideration when in-climate weather sets in. This happened to us back in June. It was storming on our cruise date. Question 2 - Steve will ensure that all deposits are refunded 100%. You must remember, not only is he a good guy, but a business man too. Doing good business gets repeat business.
You definitely cant rely on the weather forecast when we are still a week away. I think the forecasts have predicted storms almost every day since June, and we have had maybe a dozen days of bad weather since then. We don't cancel for rain unless it is torrential and likely to be set in for the entire day. We do cancel if ocean conditions are unsafe. That is a decision made by the coastguard not by me, and usually will be made only on the day itself unless there is a known storm on its way. Of the 50 or so cruises this year so far two have been cancelled, and last year we didn't cancel any of the 50 cruises we ran. Cancellations (and the weather conditions that cause them) are rare. If the cruise is cancelled either by us or by the coastguard then everyone gets their deposit refunded. Anyone is also welcome to cancel and receive a refund as long as they give me 24 hrs notice by sending a PM here or by email.
Fingers crossed for good weather! Thanks for the update Steve! Hey, why are you working on your birthday. Shouldn't you be somewhere eating cake!!?? artyhorn:
I have a foolproof method for preparing for inclement weather. Hint, it involves copious amounts of alcohol.
Now that sounds like a plan! And it's always good to have a plan. We are looking forward to meeting you!! Since you've been on the Boobs Cruise so many times, maybe you can use your charms to recruit a few more participants on the 26th cruise.
