The first time we were offered it at $50 a night, passed on it, and somehow ended up with an amazing jacuzzi suite for $0. Unfortunately we haven't been that lucky on our other trips...
If you'd use it, $50 doesn't sound unreasonable...but we've stayed in plenty of resorts where a jacuzzi is in every room and never even filled it up. We are pretty much only in the room to sleep and shower. We've got a hot tub on our deck at home, so maybe there's just no novelty to having one on vacation.
Upgrade prices have changed in the last month, I don't know if this still applies.\ might be cheaper at the front desk now ????
I think it could be worth 50 a night but not any more. As far as price goes probably depends on the occupancy of the resort. I've been looking for next June and boy have prices gone up! Not sure what's going on there.
We upgraded to a jacuzzi suite this trip (full ocean view, jacuzzi indoors) for $50. We will be adding more pics to our trip report.
Last may the front desk wouldnt budge off 100 a night, wouldve been glad to pay 50, this year booking the jacuzzi room in advance, 66 a night on expedia
This time of year I would do it when you get there. I think you arrive enough before Halloween where hopefully there is still availability. We seem to get lower offers on site than in advance. But once I did upgrade in advance as I knew the hotel was sold out (late April / early may). Good luck. A lot of it is luck with timing.
