Noli tours isnt offering TTR this year, or at least I havent seen it.

Looks like the only choice us canucks have, is that 6th world airline, sunwing.

    I'd walk first.

Can't you get West jet or Air Canada out of Halifax ?

Stay away from pre packaged deals,, Temptations comes out more expensive.

Only prepackaged deals ive seen is from sunshit air.

nice thing about prepackaged, everything is looked after, no bumping at the resort, transfers looked after, and, direct flight. 6 hours after take off, we've got liquor in our hands at the sexy pool.

We used cheapcaribbean.com and paid I think $2300us for 7 days at Christmas, including round trip airfare from Salt Lake City.

This year we found sunquest vacations to be the cheapest and one of the only companies to offer a direct flight and that is by far the best.

We may take 4 extra hours ( two this year ) to get there, and 2 planes, and book my own transfers, but I get to stay for 9 to 11 days for the price of 7 nights buy playing with days of travel.

I use Expedia , and have never been bumped. TTR will usually only bump guests for one day , and some even offer to go to Desires to check it out.
Who you book with has no bearing on whether or not you get bumped , it's when you arrive at the resort.( time)

With USA Transfers your at the resort in your private ride , and get to stop at Liquire store on the way, and still beat the crowd.

At TTR I can still go in and talk to the travel reps for excursions, they work off commission so they don't care who you booked with.

Do what ever is in your comfort level but try fiddling around with the ''Build your own package'' tools on the travel sites, can save you $$

We saved $1100. by building our own package on expedia (2 week trip) rather than flying with Sunwing on a package. Yes, we have stopovers but don't have to deal with Sunwing's ridiculously low luggage allowances. $1100. is enough for us to be okay with not having direct flights. :)

Canadian insurance TICCO does not cover us when we book outside the country, so if one is going to book with a non-Canadian company it's best to make sure the company is legit and the risk is worth while.Alpha (UK)rooms has a good repor on this site.

Speaking from experience with the Fun and Sun scam.
