There is not cost for checked bags on the international flights that I have been on, and the luggage pickup in Cancun is incredibly fast. Not checking bags does not make much sense to me. Sun screen, lotions, shampoo, bubba mugs, and those things are way cheaper in the US, and you cannot buy AIWC in Cancun. As far as checking in goes, you can check your bag with the bellman, just as you would with a carryon.
Don't do the same error as I did. Everything less than 100ml except what's is for medication ( Clear contact for contact eyes by example. ) Also in Canada you're only aloud for a small bag, so at the security I throw like 5 bottle, they was on a Ziploc. For me, I will not take the change, i'll bring my carry on + a large suitcase for both of us . carry on for few clothes in case our suitcase is lost. pair of sandale, sunscreen ( less than 100 ml ) Sunglasses and brush teeth I went for 4 days on a trip for snowmobile grass drag both of carry on was fully tight!
I take less every trip to Mexico. This will be my 12th or 13th. I may just use available pockets, one day.
We always go with just two carryons a piece. We never check bags. She always has plenty of shoes and outfits. I mean, it's Temptation, how much do you need? Satin and lace don't take up much room anyway ;-) You'd be amazed what she gets into a travel pro. At least two items per day, 7 days, and the shoes.
I can't even imagine traveling with only carry-ons. I'd rather pack my 50 pound suitcase and check it through than go to Walmart on vacation...or wear the same clothes multiple times.
