33 days to go before we arrive at TTR and 30 more days of the Insanity workout. I am not sure what I am looking forward to more...The Insanity program coming to an end or our arrival at TTR! It is the thoughts of TTR that get us through the workouts though Brent
I hear ya! My husband and I are killing ourselves in the gym, but the thought of our vacation is what gets me through. We've only got 30 more days!!!! :mnm:
I am a very tiny gal and have lots of problems with one size fits most so I only get bikinis that have to be tied with strings. That is the only way they will stay on when you get out of the pool.... lol good luck shopping.
Lol. How has it been going? What were your goals? (lose weight, add muscle, tone?) We considered insanity but did / are doing p90x. Love my p90x workouts, even yoga now, which I hated at first. We have made it thru a full cycle and started again but may try something else when we get back from ttr and heard good things about insanity. We gained some muscle, especially in some areas we never worked out too much on our own, and toned. But for me I still don't have the mid section I want. Been eating much better which has helped but thinking the next workout routine needs more cardio, which maybe insanity has? Also, started using mapmyrun iPhone app which I love to get me running more. Love tracking my splits and trying to beat it next time (I am the competitive type )
You are insane for doing Insanity.......I did two days before switching. Melissa loves all that sort of workout when she can motivate herself to do it.
The Insanity workout has been really tough just as I am sure P90X is as well. I lost quite a bit of weight before starting so it has been all about toning up for me. I have lost more weight since starting and am really happy with the results so far. I don't think I have been in this good of shape since high school and it has only been 30 days. If I wasn't doing this with April, I am not sure I would have stuck with it though. I think having a partner that is committed to the workout is the key to success with any workout regimine. Sometimes you just need someone to kick you in the ass when you aren't feeling it. The thing I like most about Insanity is that you don't need anything other than your body for the workout. I would definitely recommend that you give it a try as it seems to be doing wonders on my abs which needed A LOT of work. Brent
Couldn't agree with you more on the working out with a partner point. Jen was naturally slim but now she has curves and muscle on top, oh boy. That is motivation enough to get me to the basement and power thru a workout with her. I do best when there is the tv, then her, then me. Maybe I will post a picture of my view later and I think you will understand why I like working out so much these days. As for the weights, I love the weight lifting part of p90x so maybe I should stick with that but I am very curious about insanity and crossfit workouts, but we couldn't do those together due to the kid factor. The hardest part about getting ready for TTR with these workouts is sleep. I hope I don't just sleep all week due to exhaustion. This schedule can't last long term... 6am wake up 7am commute to work 8am-6pm work 6pm commute home 7pm- 9pm kid stuff 9:30pm-11pm workout Eat and slow down time 11pm 1am bed Unsustainable long term Come on TTR! The competitive person I am maybe I need a competition to make it all the way to TTR. It would have to be honor system but we could all weigh ourselves and whomever loses the most gets a prize at ttr. Maybe the first round of AIWC shots?
Damn. Sorry. My posts are too long today. Can you tell I don't feel like working today? I need someone to throw out a question like we were doing months back now that we have so many new folks on the thread.
