I have been monitoring prices for both February and March 2014 for roughly a month now. How did the prices jump almost $100/nt in less than 1month? I have checked for date ranges any where from 6-16 days in a row and the best I can find is $245/nt now & average is $285/nt. How the hell is this possible!? If I didn't think things were gonna be hard enough to pay up now the price hike is killing my dreams for the coming year.

I know feb and spring break are generally higher, but MF'er, this is up over $120/nt from last year. What in the hell is going on? Are they just trying to hike the rates to stop the singles and college crews and trying to cater to couples or are they trying to bring up the scale/class of the resort?

Process??? Gimme the goods! I am just fearing booking later that 1of 2 things will happen. Hotel will sell out for our dates or the costs will go up again. When I started looking the rate was averaging $195/nt.

I'm sure that this will increase the timeshare sales, maybe that is what they are going for. I, for one, can't believe we have gotten away paying as little as we have for so many times, it has been an absolute steal for the last few years. But I think the increase in prices is here to stay, it was inevitable.

Just looked at may on alpharooms and it was $166 per night. A little more than last year but not much.

I checked out prices for April 2014 a few weeks back (out of curiosity), and prices for spring/summer are much worse than autumn/winter. I worked out that when you take off cost of the flight, for November I am paying £71 a night (about $112); if I booked for April I’d pay £110 a night (about $172) which is a fair bit more and out of my price range. Prices don’t change that drastically here week to week, maybe + or - £100 depending on the season, and November 2014 prices don’t look that different to what I’m paying for this year.

For me, even with the hike in spring/summer, you’re still getting an amazing bargain. Over here, for that price per night, you’d be lucky to get an ‘economy’ room at a sub-standard hotel, and definitely not all inclusive nor having the entertainment/facilities (beach, swimming pools etc) you get with TTR. Nowhere here does all inclusive, and to get a beach hotel with pools and choice of restaurants would be at least £200 per night.

    Demand and availability

Last year they sold out so they know they can raise the prices, if they have raised them too much people will not book and they usually lower prices 60 days before arrival.

I just booked for Halloween was $2200 (wet season) for 9 nights but that included air fare for two. ( Expedia.ca, can't separate prices cause they give you a discount on package).

Last year prices were high for April too.

You have too realize too people will brag about getting a good deal but few will come on here and say they paid too much. So you remember the good deal /sell off price , but when it come time too book it may be gone.
