In April we hosted a Toy Exchange/Adult Games party and utilized the Cigar Lounge. We had almost 30 people there and it was quite comfortable. I would guess it would hold 75 people there nicely. We were a little hesitant as we had checked it out prior to asking them if we could use it. The place looked nice but very unused and dirty/dusty. We spoke with the woman at the concierge desk and after a few calls to the Manager we were all set up. They did offer bar service for a fee. I don't recall what the fee was as we were not interested. Lisa and I showed up early as we thought we would have to do some tidying up and to our surprised the place was cleaned up and spotless, including the bathrooms. Overall I think they were generally happy that someone was utilizing it. They even had an employee stop in before our event to see if we were pleased and if they could do anything else for us. The cigar bar is very nice and intimate. The washrooms are fantastic there. But the bar area is open to the elements, so bad weather would stifle plans. However there is a board room adjacent to the cigar bar, that could be used. However, TTR would probably charge a fee for usage and bar service. Not sure on this or of the price. Of course, squatting/ BYOb is an option, but security might be steamed at this idea. So considering all of that, I would say to use the sports bar, as it is usually deserted and has bar service. I would suggest it for Sunday or Monday night as they are the weakest nights for resort style FUN. Schedule it for early evening say 5, or after 10 so as not to conflict with Nice Shoes. Both those nights will have NFL football on tv, so the meet'n greet can be tail-gatish. Having said all this, it is our experience that these plans for a CCC group get-to-gether never transpire as imagined. Any semblance of schedule or plans evaporate once you get a room key.
There has been a few post on "meet and greets" and everyone meeting. Since there are now quite a few of us and all arriving different days, maybe we should have late afternoon icebreaker Tequila shots to welcome new arrivals to the party!
Last April we tryed to do a 4pm meet and greet at the Sexy pool bar. I remembered the first day, the rest of the week was hazy. We did meet a nice couple from Kansas, so it wasn't a totally bad idea. Like you said ounce you have your key, you forget things. The Orange bracelets have been the biggest icebreaker for us and of course CCC. TTR actually was doing it for a few months a few years ago , it never caught on .
I agree, trying to arrange a "meet and greet" seems like an awesome idea but rarely works out and is somewhat unnecessary as I'm sure we will all get together at the sexy pool throughout the day. However, I will ensure that we will have a place to hold our lingerie night. I personally know many of the couples that are going that week. The girls that I know (and love) would not miss the opportunity to get themselves all sexified up and even if they were considering skipping it, the husbands I know would not permit it - lol. So count on a lingerie night from 7:30-9:00 on Wednesday, October 30th. There will be games and prizes. Details will follow. ps I saw a t-shirt yesterday that made me think of all you guys, it said "Friends would not let friends do something stupid.......................alone." Jim
This comment is specifically for Mr and Mrs Ajay I purchased my first theme night article yesterday for the Cowboy/Cowgirl night which I know was your suggestion. This is one of those theme nights that I'm not certain if 5 couples will do or 20 couples. But you two better be John Wayne'd and Daisy Duke'd up or I swear there will be a man overboard on the boob cruise. Jim
Jim.... two years ago approximately 30 of us did our own lingerie night on a Monday....... we met in a couple of rooms and then went down as a group to Paty'Os. In order to not get busted by security (knowing TTR doesn't allow men without shirts and tries to keep the ladies somewhat toned down on nights other than Thursday lingerie night) we cleared what we wanted to do in advance through the hotel management. As a result, we had free reign to wear full blown lingerie night attire all night at Paty'Os with no hassle from security. It was an absolute blast and several other couples and single ladies (not even in our group) went up and changed into lingerie and joined us. I would suggest that we meet at the Cigar Lounge (as it should easily handle 75 people) or Nice Shoes around 8:00 - 8:30 PM, hang out there a while and then head down to Paty'Os for a CCC Lingerie takeover. As long as we have notified the TTR staff of our plans in advance I think we will be good to go.
