Jim, in my experience as well that is the formula that works and while it all looks so easy on paper. it's damn hard to execute with out total commitment .. haha! I am going to commit to 6 weeks of doing exaclty that.. well I have already done 4 weeks.. but another 6 weeks and see how it all worked out... easypeasy..lol
Yes, I make it an obsession and it took a lot of time and adjustments to make all the positive changes that fit into our lifestyle. Cheryl and I experimented with lots of different foods/exercise programs etc until we have come up with a semi-healthy lifestyle that works for us. Having said that, we are both 5-7 lbs heavier than we were last Halloween (I blame vacations) and have a goal of losing 10-12 lbs before this Halloween. But like you say....easypeezy :icon_rolleyes:
Well I wish I could say it was alcohol but only have drinks the weekend of Stampede since Cancun. My hormones screwed up after cancun and well up another 8 plus the 8 I gained in cancun. It totally sucks. I am gonna be doing some serious workouts and diet this month to make up for it.
I maintained the 3:30 am workout for 6 years then I started a different job that I have shifts anywhere from 6-2 to 12 -8 pm. I still maintain early workouts are 4:30 to 6:30 depending on my start time. Basically I get up 3 hours before any shift. When I work at 6 I workout after work at 3:00 pm or 4:00 pm. The workouts are not the issue nor is my attutude about them. I love them and attitude is everything. Everyone is different and 4:00 am workouts do work for me. So if you read it here it probably was me who said it. Yep be a crazy f$$K but I do it in cancun too. Basically yep, diet is huge, will power and a need/want to do it is more, and to do that you have to make lunches and plan ahead and know some take out food that won't break the diet if going out. Everything in moderatioin and a willingness to fight like hell for what you want and what you deserve.
I'm up at 5:30, and in the gym working out usually around 6:30 or 6:45 for around an hour. I thought it would kill me waking up at 5:30, but it's surprisingly easy. Sometimes I look at the clock in the gym and think I must be crazy, but then on the way home after work it feels great knowing I've already got that workout in. I never use up extra calories burned off at the gym. Some people add it to their total for the day, and it comes up on myfitnesspal too, but I don't use them. Going to be a good weekend. I can feel it. Had a healthy-ish meal last night, and no alcohol. Not planning on drinking at all this weekend, nor have any social plans that could screw up my diet for the next month. End of August will be a struggle - we have a Bank Holiday here in UK the final week of August, and typically go out, have a drink and a meal .
Just got back from the gym my self I've been good all week done 9 days of the gym day off Tomoz drinking tonight but bought my food in for Tomoz so I won't be ordering takeaway . I never use my calories burned in the gym I can have extra points as iam on weight watchers
Now that I'm finally done shopping for our Labor Day trip I should actually have time to stay on top of everything. Lol. I've been working out at least an hour a day 5 times a week and have been pretty good about what I eat, but I've been having a tough time sticking to my diet. But so far I'm down 12lbs in the last 3 weeks so I guess I must be doing something right. Lol. Hoping to lose at least that much more by Labor Day.
Didn't work today but I went fishhhie and catch a 2 pounds bass ... I'm so proud I swim and now i'm out to bed back on track tomorrow
Ok 59 days to TTR, nice to see so many people trying to lead a healthy fun lifestyle. I haven't seen any one mention this but we wanted to know. We have a little fantasy about working out at TTR and doing some fun couple stuff while working out there. How is security at the gym.
