We are a week away, and it looks like the weekend will be a lot of fun. The original thread with all the details is 3 pages back, and I want to give a quick summary of what we have planned.

Friday
Everyone is welcome to come over Friday afternoon/evening for drinks and hanging around the pool. Friday will be pretty relaxed, with some catching up to do with old friends, and new ones that you haven't met.

Saturday
We will start by meeting at Fast Eddie's Bonair in Alton for lunch and a couple of drinks. We will stay there until 1:00 or 2:00, and then head to our house. Eddie's is a great place to meet, and anyone that does not know where our house is can follow us from there.

Some people are staying at one of the Alton, IL motels. The Holiday Inn is nice and has rooms for under $100, and the Comfort Inn is even less than that. The Holiday Inn has a shuttle to Fast Eddie's.

If you are staying at one of the motels and don't want to drive, you can catch a ride to our house from someone that is driving on our way up from Eddie's. It is a $35-40 taxi fare from our house to the hotels, and you will be able to get a taxi back whenever you decide to call it a night.

When we get back to our house, we will hang around the pool and have a Temptation style pool party. No kids, neighbors, or anything like that so the gals can work on their tan lines. We will play volleyball, corn hole, with lots of wine, women, and song. Bartender Tim has some surprises for everyone, although has no idea about Shiela's surprise for him .

We will bring some food in later on that evening.

Let me know if you have any questions. I know the people that are definitely coming, and am asking the maybes to let me know before next weekend if you are coming. Last of all, Annette and I ask you to leave the drama at home. Everyone will be coming to relax, and avoiding drama is one of the keys.

 

Sounds good, and we are looking forward to meeting you. Any friends of Mike, Sue, Dave, and Rosa have to be a lot of fun.
