Ok so the more I read through some of these threads, the more I'm getting a bad vibe towards single people. Me and 2 of my friends are visiting in August, we actually had no idea this was more of a couples resort. I signed up to this forum to see if I could get to know anyone else who will be there at the same time as us. No intentions of causing any grief or upsetting any of the regulars, we just want to have a great holiday and get to know some new people
Just because couples are open minded or the women are skimpily clad doesn't make them less than ladies and deserve to be treated as such. Be polite, friendly and treat the women like ladies and you will have no issues. Don't be rude, touchy or aggressive and you will have a great time. Remember single guys are a dime a dozen and if a couple is interested in a single they don't have any trouble finding them, at the resort or at home.
Thanks for your reply We are friendly and polite and don't have any intention of upsetting anyone at all. Just looking to have a great holiday and meet some great people, we actually had no idea of the resorts reputation until after we booked it.

The problem stems from groups of guys who come in thinking it's a big hook-up place and get desperate and aggressive--or that they're shooting scenes for "The Hangover, Part 10" and need to make a scene of themselves. No one has a problem with single guys just going with the flow of the place and having a good time like the rest of us.
I can definitely say we are not those kind of guys (thinking it's a hook-up place or shooting hangover scenes I mean) Although I have heard some wild stories about this resort, we definitely don't have that attitude. Like I said before, we didn't know anything of the resorts reputation until after we had booked it. So we definitely don't have that in mind
So the vibe you are picking up... It is kind of a guilty until proven innocent type of thing going on due to some bad experiences with packs of singles. I know, shouldn't be that way. Just telling you how it is. Once you are there mingling, being respectful and just enjoying the party people will see you are in the good group and it is very easy to meet people and enjoy the great place TTR is. Don't have second thoughts on your choice. Enjoy your trip!
