Haha. Yes, we have high expectations of ourselves to let go and have a blast! But since we are TTR virgins... wondering if some of the addicts can talk about how different your experiences have been over time. When we read trip reports on here, (almost) everyone seems to have an awesome time. Yet the actual TTR marketing videos and others on YouTube look a lot less desirable. Any insight into how consistent your visits have been from time to time? (wondering more about the crowds, theme nights, activities, etc. and less about the actual resort staff, etc.)
From my experiences I would say that people with a positive outlook on life tend to have an awesome time! A smile and introducing yourself goes a long ways. What in the videos do you think looks less than desireable? That info will probably generate some more replies for you. For your consistency question each trip gets better and better in our opinion and its great to see familiar faces of ccc people around the pool and Paty'Os.
we feel the trip has a lot to do with the people staying at the resort at the time.. If there is a good group of people there then you'll have a great time.. the more people that participate in the theme nights and the games the more fun.. Go in with an open mind and just plan on having a good time.. We have been there 2 times however both at the same time of year with a lot of the same people. We've had a great time both visits..
Relax and have fun... And remember (depends on how much you consume u might not) YOU'RE ON VACATION. Lol
Enjoy and be yourself! Do things and wear clothes that you will not wear at home! Mobody care if you don't want to do sometime theme night are cool check here for the theme night since last year got it last time i'll bring clothes for this use for sure Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Make friends early. The reason we have such a great time isn't all down to the resort and its facilities, it's from the friendships made with the other guests! Don't be afraid to approach people with the orange wristbands (means they're from this site) and get chatting. Your trip will be amplified to the fun level you hear about on here if you get talking to other Cancuncare people.
Don't have high expectations! Remember how much you paid for your holiday and set your expectations accordingly. Then when you get there the rooms, food etc will be better than expected! Whenever we have high hopes for a resort we are generally disappointed, but with our first trip to TTR we weren't expecting too much, but now can't keep away!
Our feelings exactly! Before our first trip we met some great people on CCC and met up with that group our first night and had an awesome time our entire visit. Our last trip and after a few dozen or so drinks, I stopped most of the people we saw that had orange bands on and all we stopped were a blast to meet. Some we feel have/will become lasting friends. We even met a couple who wore the white (OMG, SWINGERS!!) band. AWESOME couple. Didn't attack us, of course I'm old but wife is hot, so if YOU 2 are reading this, thx for nothing. :aetsch022: We are hoping to book for this Sept, my vacation time was just approved and we are now cking out dates & flights. Enjoy your trip!
All these suggestions are great. Make some friends here about a month or two before your trip, find them when you get there but say "hi, where you from?" to as many people as you can. A can of AIWC in the pool around 3 can make a lot of friends also Oh, and the guy who made jello shots in April has my lifelong admiration, great ice-breaker. I believe he was also the guy running around in a full green spandex suit with AIWC also
We have seen some varied reviews on other travel sites. The videos look like TTR is either a spring break rave party, or a desolate resort. From other posts, I assume the desolate videos and pics are taken in the early morning hours while everyone is sleeping off the fun from the night before. And we are hoping the rave party videos are from the spring breakers? Thanks for the insight! We plan to let loose and make the most of our short time there!
