We are arriving at the end of July and would appreciate any additional feedback, reports, etc. We definitely do not want to waste a trip because we are sick the entire time. We plan on taking some precautions before leaving, but this thread has us seriously reconsidering our trip.
I've been going for years, and have never had a problem myself. Like I said earlier if it were and ongoing thing I'd say be concerned. I wouldn't read much more into this than that.
Right on!!! I've been drinking tonight and say fuck the sickness. If it's meant to be...so be it. If I get sick off sun or drinking---at least I did something right!!! I'm tired of this bullshit thread. Sorry....truth serum. It's vacation and I'm gonna enjoy it. If I get sick---someone from the June Junkies end of month will have to pull my hair back. I'll be for the first time in TTR in 3 weeks. I've traveled a bit in my life and these the things i always watch out for: - tap water (ANY tap: bar, room, fountain, dispencers of any kind.) - ice (typically made from the above water, yes even coctails) - uncooked veggies and salads (typically rinsed with the above water). - brush your teeth with bottled water. - no mayo -no raw fish, uncooked meats. I mean. These are the basics. I'm not going to let this apparent sickness intimidate me If I have to I'll eat boiled eggs and crackers for 10 days.... If they don't grill anything there, which I doubt. I'm not going on vacation to eat, but rather for the sun, beach and party. Follow the above rules and unless you plan to scrape the hotel floors with your tongue, you should be fine Just my two cents Leonardo

Yeah I know. But she said something about steak and seafood in her rear. Transalation software or not i just have to comment on that. Who knows what is going on. Everything is speculation. I feel bad for those who had to deal. At the same time wouldn't stop me for going. Hell, for the right price i would buy someone's trip from them for next week just to go back.
We don't regret going one bit and still had fun. Just not as much fun as we are use to having. I would not of canceled our trip. Just would of been better prepared if we would of known. We are not trying to talk you into not going. Just letting you know what is going on right now. I hope and pray this ends soon. Good luck to the rest of my June friends and all those who follow!
We went in May and a few folk were ill, but that's life, so who can say what it was, we had people speculating then too. I catch anything going around but ok this trip but Roz was ill. That's why people get advised to take Imodium with them to sunny climates, any bug would frive in the heat. It could have been brought to the resort by a guest and as the people change over passed on like a...rubber chicken...lol.
