Welcome to the thread..Great job! Spin class does not build muscle which sucks.. I think it gives you longated muscel tone but no bulk from my experience.. but your on the right track with the free weights..I love weights.. hate cardio.. but I personally need cardio to lose weight.. if i had low body fat I would def not do cardio.. haha besides walking.. lol good luck and keep us posted! BTW.. is this him or her of the couple picture? Im guessing her.. lol
Well my friends, I am back on track.. working out 5 days a week and have 5 to 6 pounds off..sure hope i keep it up.. as we all know summer weekends are hard.. but seems for me if i have a few drinks and stay tight on food and still get some walking in.. I squeek through the weekend a bit better.. thats my game plan..
Thanks to all for the "welcomes". This is Ginger btw. I did my upper body work out last night from home. Am hoping to get to the gym for spin tonight. Hubby is home sick yesterday and today, so praying I don't get it! Last time I got sick I was out for 2 weeks. Yuck. Good luck to everyone today! And if you don't feel up to par, do what I do....go anyway and envision yourself in that naughty school girl outfit or tiny g-string! That always makes me work harder. LOL!
I'm so pissed. Stupid rain for 2 days, can't go take a walk Oh well .. I have 9 months to lost a little bit of fat =) I'm not scared with that. I'm down by 4 pounds now Hiha ! It's a start !! I'm not drinking now .. try to cut on sugar .. No coke, pepsi or whatever piece of shit. Only thing.. OK, we must be serious this time. For some strange reason, the possibility of going all nude on vacation at Desire for the first 3 days of our vacay has Stacia in a fury to get in shape and make me do likewise. Like she's not is what I'm sayin'.... So, off to the 24 to get work out started. Squats, leg press, leg extensions, stiff-legged deadlifts, hammy curls, pushups, abs, and machine lat pull downs. It WAS supposed to be an easy leg day.... Oh fuck me...
Well gonna get back to it tomorrow as I am finally feeling better. I should have done some today but sleep sounded way better than getting up this morning. Hell I know it's crunch time. Time to get it done.
Same here - drinking any alcohol at all is out of my schedule for at least the next month, I reckon I'll see a huge difference with that alone! My weekly weigh-in today, and I've lost 1.5 lbs. Not a huge loss, but not bad either, at least I can say I've lost something now! 2 inches have also disappeared off my waist over the last 3 weeks too.
2 inches off the waist is a HUGE loss! Be proud! Keep the heart rate under control... You probably are building a bunch of muscle if you aren't losing the fat.
yeah u could be putting muscle on. muscle weighs more then fat, muscle burns fat. try weigh your self on scales that do your body fat aswell then u can tell what you have put on/lost am going to try not drink for a couple of weeks but its so hard when you manage a bar and dont pay for the drinks!!! Wow if I didn't have to pay for my drinks, I'd be doomed! Nice job though! I'm not too worried yet, my main goal is to get my waist/hip ratio down to a healthy range. Years of alcohol/simple carbohydrate overload and inactivity has left me with a seriously disproportionate mid-section. I don't mind being on the big side, but I want that ratio down for my sanity and my health.
