These comments confuse me as Desires is clothing optional so why not just go there? I think the whole vibe of the place would change if it was clothing optional and I'd hate that.

Desires is much more expensive for one. Clothing optional does not mean you have to be Hedo.

For all intents and purposes TTR is as close to being clothing optional as you can get without actually being that way.

We frequent a clothing optional B&B in Key West and the "vibe" is just fine. You don't have to designate the whole resort as clothing optional, only the pool area. I guess I am not sure what some are worried about.

Good points except it's not clothing optional. Sure some of the games may end up with some full nudity, which is fun, and some people do the occasional streak, but it would be different if there were naked people all the time. I (Andrew) for one don't really want to see other guys junk on a constant basis.

"except it is not clothing optional", Hence my reply.

I am sure there are some women that don't want to see boobs all of the time either. The resort is topless optional as well.

Different strokes for different folks! :icon_razz:

I posted this on the sold cabo property post, but thought it made sense here too....

    Here is a crazy idea....
The Cabo resort was, by all comments, an underperforming property. TTR cancun is, usually, overbooked or at capacity, and surrounded on both sides by properties that are not utilized (one was an empty hotel for the longest time and the other was an apartment building, or so it appeared). Given that TTR cancun is the "golden goose" what does anyone think the odds are of adding rooms to the resort? We had also suggested on the survey at our last trip converting the unused (aside from an occasional toy party) cigar bar into a fourth reservation restaurant (hibachi or texas steakhouse), and with more rooms that would definitely be needed. Maybe a bigger nice shoes and convert that into a restaurant?

We love the resort, they don't have to change to keep us coming back, however these "enhancements" would make a great thing even better. Not to mention it sounds like they have the money now...

But they know that from the site, I'm not sure I fully understand that argument.

Topless optional makes it sexy, clothing optional makes it sexual, there's a difference, at least in my mind.

    Dishwashers at the bar.

We used our own cups most of the time, but the sanitation of the cups used at the pool is slacking. They use the sani dip, and rinse method or dunk/dunk I have heard it called (as many places do). Unfortunately if you don't rinse that dip off, it makes you sick. Unfortunately the pool of water they are rinsing in is just as full of the sanitizing liquid as the actual sani pool. Probably the reason so many people get sick while visiting. IMHO, that is the major cause, not the water or food. Known fact that stuff can give you the revenge really bad!

Clothing optional has so much stigma and pre conceived notions its not worth changing for the simple fact the only thing different from the two is a piece of string or a hacky sack.
