Trip Report May 11-22 TTR-Desire :11 Days total of Paradise

Our first encounter with a clothing optional was Desire Cabo years ago, I think we were nude maybe once and only briefly, we have been on clothing option cruises since and still, choose the clothed option for 95% of the time lol. This trip was the first that we ventured out, actually walked from the beach to our room, or walked from the chair to the pool naked, and again, it was more me than Tony. There was a mixture as far as those going nude and those wearing bottoms or top and bottoms. I think that is where people misunderstand, it is not necessary to be nude, and folks could care less if you chose to be nude or if you chose to wear a suit. At night everyone is dressed, for the most part, just like at TTR.

I guess having experience being around the clothing optional thing more than once, it is not "shocking" it is just what it is, people doing what they do on vacation, just without clothes on. Sometimes they walk around the resort to their rooms like that but for the most part is limited to around the pool and the beach area in front of the resort. Michelle

 

I really think the next time we go to Cancun that we are going to stay at Desire RM, at least for part of the trip - sounds like 8-9 day split with the last 4-5 days at Desire would be exactly the right balance for us. Thanks for posting about the comparisons - and I think I would also be mixed on the Pearl vs. RM, would love to see Omar and the jacuzzi sounds nice, but I wouldn't pay more to stay there - Desire is expensive enough compared to TTR! Glad you had a great time! The foam sounds interesting ...

It was a really great experience, not to take away anything from TTR, but it is so worth the extra. As far as Pearl goes, you can visit as much as you like - taxi ride is $15, but it is walkable for those determined ones..plus it's a nice way to see other resorts along the beach. Our last night at RM we actually ran into a couple that was coming in the doors from Pearl, they had come over for dinner and to see the Tuesday night Foam party at RM.

Go! Amazing place with great people.
We have nothing but positives about Pearl. Night time entertainment was vastly superior to TTR, not crowded, never felt rushed, and you get over the nudity in less than an hour. We have a few pics up of Pearl.

 

Great trip report! thanks for posting it. After reading this I think Desire may be more what we are looking for. A split vacation between the 2 might be ideal.

 

Great TR and helps us understand what we're in for in August at D, then TTR for 6 nights.
