Cancuncare Awakening - New Orleans, LA 9/6-9/13

Over the last few weeks we have seen a rather large increase in Cancuncare people wanting to join all of us in New Orleans, Louisiana on the weekend of September 6-9 for the big Canuncare/Saggy Bottom reunion.

There are tons of Cancuncare people and Cancuncare types (a) in the best place on the planet for a party (b) in the best hotel in the French Quarter (c) having a blast and (d) doing some pretty incredible things at the same time for some awesome kids

We are expecting somewhere between 200 and 300 people on that weekend now as we have got an increase on rooms in our block at the rate of just $145 per night until MAY 31

That rate of $145 will go away forever on May 31 and will be replaced with an amount to be approximately double that rate

So if your interested book NOW - they do not even charge you for your room until you check out of the room - simply call (504) 523-3341 and tell them you are with the make a wish group.

I was reluctant to post in this forum.......but several have said they knew nothing about this incredible weekend long party and we just wanted to make sure as many great Cancuncare people as possible knew about this amazing weekend long party with a purpose.

yeah fjss and no guarantee there will be a single room left after may 31 room block deadline.......and any and every room not booked in our block will go on sale to the general public on june 1 and those rates are presently running about $245 per night

and

........that weekend is opening weekend for the nfl and the saints are in town playing the falcons - the rooms will go through the roof (whatever rooms are actually left) on june 1 - probably close to 300 per night if memory serves me correctly

high demand weekend and we get it on the cheap

already talked with chinos and we are saving him a room too - just in case he makes it

We are booked!! It will be our first with this group. Can't wait. It would be awesome to have Chinos there since we missed him in April

 

I didn't think it was possible, but I think this year is gonna be even better than last!! What a great group this is going to be!!!!

If you don't know anyone else going, don't let that keep you from joining the fun; last year we had met exactly two people that were attending and had only met them once....before the first 24hrs had passed we had a whole new group of friends that I know will last a lifetime!!! Can't wait to meet people from the boards we've never met before and to catch up with friends from last year!

Whether coming for the party or coming for the purpose, by the end of this weekend you'll have decided that the PARTY WITH A PURPOSE is the best party around!!!

and so true - not sure whether it is the environment or the people or what but out of the 150 people that were there last year - I never saw anyone without a smile on their face and talking with someone else in the group - and someone different every time - like nothing I have ever seen

its so inclusive

met most but not all but its a moving party throughout the weekend and if your hanging with one person one minute your hangin with someone else the next - a lot like Temptation is

anyway

on the last day we had not spent that much time with doug and val and just so happens (as it seems to down there) that we ended up spending almost the entire day with them hangin out watching football drinking, eating pizzas and such

this is a regular story as everyone just flows together - hard to explain -

just happens

this year will be quite another challenge though as we increase to almost 300 people

im up for the challenge though with this group of awesome fun people

We go to New Orleans quite frequently, while we have a local that gives us good rates at his place on St. Philips, the Montelone is great hotel! Super nice and close to everything, if you can get that rate, go for it!

We plan to come, if our schedule with the kids works out right. Tony was just saying what fun Chinos would be in New Orleans! If only!!

We have never been with this group but veterans of New Orleans and we can say without a doubt you can do nothing BUT make new friends when you go! And, if it is your first trip then going with a group makes it even better. And, NOLA is the costume capital of the world, you will be able to wear anything and everything you want! Bring out your TTR clothes ladies!
But beware of the uneven sidewalks, those super high heels, you will need to keep your arm on your man or partner when walking in those.

Oh, and Mel...we know a place you can go Nekked by the pool, and it's heated, not that it will be cool that time of year here, but just in case.
