This was our second trip to TTR, but since my wife fell and broke her wrist the first time (back in Dec), the Trip Report was kinda "brief". We returned April 13 for Round #2 and we really had a great trip. We have been to Jamaica (Negril) several times, so I have a tendency to compare TTR with either Breezes Grand (now sold) or Hedo.

The flight from Atlanta was very short (2 hours, 4 minutes from takeoff to touch down). Immigration/customs was a breeze. Used USA Transfers, worked great !! 20 minutes and we are at TTR . At Hedo/BGN, its 1 hour 15 minutes over some really bad roads.

Front desk was also great, let us look at 3 rooms before we decided on 1259. Second floor, oceanview. You could actually see the beach very well. Room was okay, nothing fancy, but the maid service was outstanding !!!

We had a fine time just hanging around the quiet pool in the AM then heading over to the sexy one in the afternoon. Lots of friendly folks at both places. The beach was fine for lounging or swimming. not near as bad as we were lead to think. Hedo IIs prude beach is pretty bad and its nude beach ain't much better.

I would call TTR R-rated fun. Lots of very attractive topless gals and some naughty games, but nothing gross. Lots of folks asked us about the difference between TTR and Hedo. TTR is about Sexy !!! Hedo is about SEX. the men might not mind (LOL), but the gals probably will. And the gals are much more attractive at TTR (did I say that before).

There was also a really good mix of ages. We always found folks at or near our age to chat with.

The food was just fine, we ate at each place besides the oriental one. Loved the Mexican for lunch (chicken Fahitas).

    And Patty 0s !!
Well there is nothing at either Hedo or BGN to even compare !!! Hedo has a great piano bar and a Disco, but TTR's Pattyo is just plain out fun. It really does go on until 5 AM, I went on a coffee search at 5 (6 AM EDT) and PattyOs was still going. There were a couple of "single guys" packs there, but the bartenders used the water hoses on them if they got too rowdy. LOL
Rowdy at 5 AM !!! That was way back BC for me!! (BC=Before Children)

Every staff member we met went out of their way to say "Hi" or give a big smile.

My wife really didn't want to leave !! On leaving Hedo, she is kinda like the racoon that had "relations" with a skunk !! "I've enjoyed about as much of this as I can stand".

Honestly, we had a great and fun time. You can hang around the quiet pool or go over sexy one. Two different resorts in one. And It was almost
1K cheaper than either Hedo or Breezes.

On returning we actually got to land at the Atlanta "F" gates, didn't have that long underground walk from "E". We will be back and it will be before Dec this time.

Glad to hear that you tried it again! I can imagine that your wife was VERY careful walking on the slippery floors this time. When we were there in Jan- I thought of her all the time as I pranced around in my heals, just asking to fall flat on my face!

We have been to Hedo and I have to say the guys are better looking at TTR too. Love TTR but will never do Hedo again.

Agree with the above. After our TTR experience, I won't waste the $$$ to go to Hedo II or Breezes Grand (closed away). TTR is a LOT closer (at least for Atlanta folks), TTR is a LOT cheaper, TTR is a LOT closer to the airport. (Hedo is 1 1/4 hours from MBJ). And thats just the pratical things. Instead of our yearly trip to Destin/Ft Walton, we are seriously considering going back to TTR in June/July. Cost Less!!

Completely agree with you here! TTR is our new regular spot. 2.5 hour flight from Dallas, and so affordable. I can't imagine going to a vacation spot where the wife has to pack bikini tops!
Just got back from our first TTR trips, and can't wait to get back later this year. :aktion033:
