Premier members like to party too , thats why they don't use the upper area and Beach area, segregation doesn't work ,
In April, I heard they are thinking about building a deck behind where those chairs are for some premier seating, since the balcony NEVER gets used. Maybe they will open the balcony up...
No doubt they are trying to create a " special " group of customer making them loyal by getting them more invested financially. We are proud to be part of the commoners group. It was a hard decision this year between TTR and golden p. This latest stunt would have changed our pick. Hope they rethink this....
Its honestly making me consider premier more and more... But like I have told them both times... Unless they can give me 14 days a year for less than what I can book it through expedia/alpharooms for, i'm simply not interested...
We are members as well. Between us and Vic & Brandy (there are probably more CCC members too ??) we can hook up the Junkies with a place to store stuff. And it gives us all another excuse to mingle !!, like we needed one ~
That is great to hear!!!:clappyinghappy: Again the June Junkies are the greatest. I'm pretty sure there are a couple other couples with the June Junkies that are members too. Curtis
Maybe we will be able to just take that whole area over!! We know how the bartenders and wait staff love the June Junkies since we are so good to them with the cash flow!! I'm sure they won't mind!! Dawn
I'm sure that is part of the reason however while we used a referral week and were allowed the privilege of using the upper area we found that it was just to dam hot. The decking is a dark brown which I swear felt like it was at least another 10+ hotter, we couldn't stand it. I think eventually TTR will be a members only resort and the only way any of us repeaters will be able to stay there is by buying weeks from a member. Every year that we have been to TTR we see the area on the beach along the pool and the upper area is more and more geared for members, and to be honest I think it should be that way. We are not members however if and when we are the amount of money a person pays up front I think they deserve the special treatment. However with that said we were there 2 weeks, the first week as regular red banded and had wonderful service a great room as usual. The second week we had the white bands but didn't notice any better service, if anything is was worse. We were served the same booze the second week as we were the first. I couldn't see any reason to become a member.. And yes we tipped the 1st week and the 2nd there was no difference with that. What I was hearing from members is "you have to ask" that didn't seem right to me... if I was a member I shouldn't have to be asking for anything... these memberships are not cheap.
Who really needs chairs anyway??? We spent all our time at the Sexy Pool either in the pool itself or on one of the swim up bar stools....no chair needed. We usually just need to put our towels/flip flops somewhere, and we just ask someone with a chair close to where we are if we can put our stuff underneath one of theirs, and in true TTR-people style, we never encountered a ''no''
