I have a question for those that have recently returned from TTR. Back in March or April I read in a thread that lounge chairs are being reserved at the sexy pool on the beach side for premier members only. Is that still happening? That was my favorite place to be at the sexy pool, and the June Junkie's gathering spot (whether sitting in chairs, sitting on the pool edge, or in the water). Who has the most recent info???? April 30th - May 3rd it was true. It is about 12 or so chairs closest to the bar with the back facing the beach. They dont put the premier towels on them until around 6am. So dont accidentally try to put your stuff on them earlier like happened to us. They will remove it and you will be without a chair. I basically had to buy our chairs back instead of have no chair or be stuck on the beach.
Yes the best/first 10 or so chairs by the bar are reserved for premier members,,, whether or not they use them ( it was 50 / 50 in April ):icon_confused:, Also about 4 or 6 of them on the left of the washrooms. Also any chairs that a particular member want will be reserved by their pool/boy bartender at 6 am. They still also have the roof top chairs /jacuzzi area , and half the beach beds roped off. Pretty soon non/members will be sent to the quiet pool. :aktion069: Seeing that the majority of people there are not members and paying full rate, its stupid to treat them like second class citizens. The resort would not function without us normal folks subsidising the time shares.To have two types of patrons in the same resort is not a good idea. Every one should get the same service. Maybe non-members would buy in if they had same service? Members should get huge discounts on there room to reflect their contribution and nothing more. To treat the regular guest like second class citizens will only back fire on the resort in the end, and it is getting worse every year. I will return as long as I can get a chair. :sunny:
Were they reserved all day even if nobody came to sit in them? Or did they fill up with premier people?
Ugh!!! I agree, they should get discounted room rates just like any other "time share", but thats all. I have friends that are premier members, and they do not like sitting in the reserved areas because they like being around friends. This was not like this last June, and I hope it changes this June.
:aktion069:Next year we may need to find another hotel to party at!! Will have to wait to see what it is like in June.
It really is only a few chairs. I didn't notice it having a big effect myself, so go have fun and don't worry about it!
yes it is only a few chairs, but the beach area got bigger this year (seems with all the shade gone now ), their taking more chairs,,,,at that rate it will be a problem in the futur. But like you said its not at a criticle point yet. Yes on about 50 % of the days the Pr. chairs by the bar were emtpy,due to lack of communication ?
Actually I would have made use of them had I known what they were trying to do. Since they reserve them with towels, I assumed that they already belonged to someone. Next time I would make use of them. I still would like them to have a few cubby holes somewhere for those of us who don't actually ever sit in the chairs though.
