After meeting MagicMat years ago. He came to spend Christmas with me and my friends in CT and then we drove to Canada and spent time with my family and local friends and then he jetted off to Vegas. He is SO not the bad single guy.
Thanks everyone, especially Carole...I have very fond memories of that Christmas! I do appreciate your reassurance, and I'm sure I will have a brilliant trip and meet some great people. Just felt the need to write something here, especially when there is a constant stream of new visitors on here that are being made wary of single guys immediately.
From now on lets call the single men Gigolos and the groups Baboons. This will avoid any confusion :xyxthumbs:
Baboons.....I like the term. Two years ago in June, there was a large group of baboons there during our travel dates. My complaint with this group was they camped at the swimup bar ALL DAY. The ladies became uncomfortable and would get out of the pool to go get drink refills. The more they drank, the more verbal and disrepectful they became. They also stayed on the dance floor all night at Paty O's, and there was no room for anyone else to dance. The vibe would have been very different if they didn't "takeover" those areas. Last June there was another group of baboons that were rowdy wherever they were. Security was on them like flies on a baboon's butt! This group of guys was very disrespectful to the ladies (obviously looking to try to SCORE), and they ticked off many husbands. When large groups show up, I think their behavior intensifies because they "feed off each other" trying to be the life of their party without a care who they offend. On the other hand, we have met some great single males on this board, and some that travel during the same as we do in June. No complaints at all. Very respectful and we all have a great time!! Personally, I don't like the baboons!! The Gigolos don't bother me a bit. Dawn
Remember this: CCC makes up a small portion of the overall population on any given week. Don't worry about what people say here. You spent your money, enjoy your vacation.
Considering the topic, can we not fill it with more stories of "Baboon" issues?! Maybe we should have a thread filled with stories of how awesome "Gigolos" are! Oh, and did I mention sexy too? : )
I think I might remember that... or something close... Was I there for a night or two? Or was that something completely different? Or did it really even happen? Mat - I don't think there's anything to worry about. You know the drill. Single guys have been an issue for the almost 20 years I've been going... whether I've gone solo, with friends or part of a couple. It's not all of them, but the few that are - stick out.
